Whats a kinda good digital camera for cheap?

i dont mean like real cheap i mean cheap in that its not like my whole summer working haha... i just want to be able to take action picutes that arent blurry and the camer that i have now has like no zoom at all so thats what im looking for (zoom and good "action" pics)

I got a Canon PowerShot A610 for qbout 400$ canadian. It's got 5mp, 4x optical zoom and a crazy fast D!GIC2 processor.

Get a nikon d50 with the kit lens.

P&S(point and shoot) cams suck monkey nuts when it comes to action photography

get either a nikon or canon...they make their own processor, which means you have a longer battery life. although, i have the kodak z760, its pretty nice.

I just got a Panasoinic PV GS 150 its got a pretty good picture. its about 600 bucks

Canon S1 IS, havent tried it outside of any stores but it works real nice. The Kodak Z740 is a real nice camera for farely cheap, doesnt have many custom setting options or the image stabalizer but its 12x is a nice incentive.

kodak dx7630....$300 6.1mp ....really good action shots and shutter speeds adjustable and alot of custom opts to mess w/ for being a point and shoot...check it out
