Some of my friends are really into photography and i have used there camera a couple of times and I enjoy it. Right now I have a sony Bloggie camera which shoots 1080p but sucks. I want to know what are some good beginner dslr cameras good for pics and video that is good for all action sports. Also I would need some type of stabilization something other than a tripod would be idea but any suggestions would be great. Im not looking to buy a $5,000 camera just something to have to take vids and pics of friends for fun. Any Ideas are good. K+ for Feedback

t2i with a tamron 17-50 f/2.8 is an awesome starter kit. should be a little under 1000. glad to see your looking for DSLR because you want to get into photo too. too many kids think they need a DSLR because they want to do video with it. be careful though this is an expensive industry... i love it though and its alot of fun ot shoot with friends

PM me if you have any questions, ill be more than happy to help

also, sorry for the dub-post, but the media and arts forum is for anything that is camera related. mostly every there is very knowledgable and you'll get quality responses

Thanks so much man for the feedback I was looking at possibly getting the Nikon d5100 body then get a lens sepertly because ik the kit lens arn't the best. What do you think about that camera good, bad, or too simple and not for what I'm looking for? Anything will help

people like the canon t2i over the nikon d5100. even though the 5100 has an articulating screen, the t2i has 1080p30 AND 720p60, whcih is must more fluid slow motion because there are more frames/second.. the nikon only does 720p30 and 1080p30. the t3i has the articulatin screen. i havent heard anything about the t4i, i do prefer canon over nikon though. thats me personally. sorry if my thoughts are a little discombobulated, im tired as hell. haha
