have any of you ever bought a camera from thecamerapros.com?

im having a tough time convincing my dad to let me buy a camera that i found from their site because he thinks its 'too good to be true". i found a camera for a really good deal compared to other stores and my dad thinks that they will rip me off. anyone ever bought from there?

maybe it was a camera that was re-built or fixed, from a past warrenty, if it was refurbished it usually means that its legit, its just less cause its not brand new, how much less is the price from what the camera would be from a differernt store?

Don't buy from them. I was thinking about buying from them last year when i needed a new camera, and everything i read about them on various camera forums was bad. Then my neighbor bought a camera from them a few months ago and had serious problems getting the advertized camera. There were lawyers involved by the time they finally gave him the camera. Just google search camerapros.com ratings for more info.

actually, if he specifies why hes using the camera, if it is for skiing, then it could be in the right category/forum, stupid... get over urself and go play halo.

yea i was about to buy my gl2 from one of thos sites, email them and ask waht comes with the camera, if they emial you back then its probly legit. i never could get a responcse. i ended up buying my gl2 from b&h camera for a few hundred more (1500) but it was defintaly worth not gettin ripped

B&H Photo is one of the (if not, the) most legit camera selling companies you can order from...so everything you see on their site is true.

www.beachcamera.com is a legit site, i got my panasonic gs500 the other day from them for 200$ less than any other store.......

and jack dont be fooled by these camera sites that have prices lowered to points where u think its true, i almost did that and my dad stopped me and did the same as ur dad, i researched it and they run on what is called a switch and bait operation......thecamerapros are known for this....

as for good sites, b&h , beach and amazon are legit.....

plz dont buy a camera from a store that offers way less that most others, theres always something behind it even if they said they are reliable and have hacker safe shit on it

Yeah I just did that a few minutes ago with a site. It seems legit, but the camera is wayyy lower than what is shown on many sites so got to be cautious.

just go to resellerratings.com Most all of those sites are bs and will scam you, its worth the extra 200 to just get one from b and h or adorama for the peace of mind

yes. b&h is a professional store they will not rip you off. i have actualy been to their store front in NYC.

Pretty much most of those cheapo stores will have you pay a low price, then something bad will happen. In my case, for a video camera, it didn't come for 2 weeks so I called. They said, "Oh, well that price is for the European model, which we are out of, so if you want the U.S. version it will be a few hundred bucks more. Or you can pay for the U.S. charger which is also a few hundred bucks more."

Fuck those places, if something like that ever happens to you, tell them that you would like to cancel the order, and check your credit/debit card statements. I found the place that screwed me (INS Digital) on Yahoo! shopping and reported the problem. A few weeks later, they were no longer on Yahoo! shopping, so I hope that I cost them a lot of business. Do the same thing or report them to the Better Business Bureau. If you do the latter, make sure that you ask for the name of who you are talking to on the phone.

Hope that helps if you ever get screwed. But buy from B&H or Adorama.

www.buydig.com

i got my gl2 there. i researched a TON of websites and this place seemed to get the best reviews for the best price. you gotta really be careful when buying electronics online. in most cases, the website will only give you the camera deck and nothing else (no charger, battery, etc.)

anyway when i ordered my cam (www.buydig.com) i had no problems at all. fast shipping, and it came in the box with all the accessories. jea

I'll always hit my local camera shops first, if they don't have what I'm looking for it's Adorama, B&H, and Calumet, in that order.
