I search-barred and found nothing, so if anyone knows of a thread let me know.But anyways. I've had a d40 for a couple years and I'm starting to find it a little bit restricting... I've done some research and have seen d40 body's for sale on ebay for low 300's, but I've also seen d3000's for sale for high 300's...I was wondering what your thoughts were on the validity of these sales, and if you think its worth the upgrade...
If it means anything, I have s 70-300 tamron lens, and an old nikon 18 f 2.4and obviously the stock 18-55

it would be easier to help you if you filled out the information in the sticky. You already have some of it, but we also need to know your budget (guessing around 300, or slightly more than what you sell the d40 for), experience etc.

I'd be willing to pay hundredish more than whatever I sell the one I have for once i get my next pay check... I've been photographing for a couple of years now... but nothing too exceptionally serious other than the courses that my school offered. that link was a huge help. thanks a lot.

np man. Also, try to see what is limiting you, because depending on what it is, new glass could be the answer as opposed to a new camera.

I guess my main problem is I can only print up to like 8x11 with out it starting to get fuzzy. the only reason thats a problem is because i cant really utilize the huge printer we have at school, which I can print as much as I want on. Thats not really that big a deal now that I think about it... Maybe a new lens would be a better use of my money. thanks for your thoughts.....
