Camera help

im trying to do an edit but windows movie maker isnt finding a device. I have a Sony DV Digital Handycam and i pluged in the only usb cable that fits into it into the usb port.. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!

go to file: capture video and see if it finds it

a video capture device was not detected. Verify it is turned on and connected correctly and then try again... thats what it said..

yea, plug it in, then turn it on to the video setting, so you can watch the movies on the little screen

download the driver for it? the cd that came with the camera or theyr on www.sony.com

yeah well if you knew anything, you would know that he is using windows movie maker. not exactly the best fucking prgram for PC. And also the new premiere 2.0 would give FCP a run for it's money...
