Camera Help- Which one?

I am interested in buying a camera today. Which one should I get?

Sony DCR-TRV280 Digital 8 handycam camcorder

or

JVC GRD770 MiniDV camcorder

sony will cost more to replace batteries and such. typically you can only buy stuff from the company

So the Sony is out of the ? But what wins between the JVC and Panasonic. I'm puttin like 300 $ into this, so I really wanna make sure I'm gettin the best one.

if you put 300 into a camera your going to get crap. man up spend two to three g's and get a vx, or a similar real camera, like this one...
