camera help please

i have a fujifilm s5000 finepix camera and i dont no how to take a picture without the moving objct being all lurry because the shutter speed is to slow. anyone no what to ddo?

 
shoot somewhere with more light, or pan the camera with the subject so the person is in focus with a blurry background.

with that camera you can adjust the shutter. maybe your camera is broken though. but try to line red 'auto' up with the little line, and go outside and shoot something light. your shutter should shoot faster. if that doesnt work, try to set the 's' to the line and adjust that to a higher number. hopefully you get what i'm trying to say. and if those ideas dont work, then your camera is pretty broken i think.
