Camera help please....

Hey guys and gals... i have a panasonic 3ccd gs200 camera... it sounds like the spools are running of into fast forward or rewind mode whenever i try to record new footage or playback the old stuff...

i dont know what to do, i have tried changing the tape over and no luck there, any ideas or advice?

you sure its not natural? if your footage is turning out fine i dont see why it should be a problem...my camera (optura 10) is loud and if your filming indoors in a quiet place you hear a ringing from the gears inside.

It's probably just the gears. Take it in to a shop and have them check it out. It shouldn't cost too much and saves alot of troubles.

All the people on skateperception are dumber than the people on NS. seriously, I seldom come across someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

It can possibly be your heads.

Do you record over the same tape, switch different brand of tapes without cleaning your heads,or put in other peoples tapes in your tape deck and upload with it?

if you do switch tape brands or use the same tape

go to walgreens or whatevr and get a tape cleaner

then see how it seems to be

but if its producing film fine i wouldnt worry about it too much

only use panasonic tapes.

but first, buy a panasonic cleaner. If you use a different tape company than the one that makes your cam...well it isnt as bad but long term, it wont be as good as it can be.

all tape companies use different lubricants and its very bad for the heads to mix these lubricants. in the filming bible it states that fujifilm makes the most reliable tapes, and JVC could not be any shittier. i use fujifilm tapes and theyre pretty fuckin clear and nice. i taped over stuff a couple times and the footage is still crystal clear. i dont rememberwhat head cleaner i have, some random one off ebay but it sure works great
