Camera Handles

First off, JVC is not a brand that is really know for its cameras. I don't want to change your mind or anything, but the best cameras around are made by Canon, Panasonic and Sony.

yea ive been looking around forever. im looking for a camera in a decent price range around $1500. 3ccd hi-def. can someone help me out. there has been nothing else around in the price range.
 
it doesnt matter if its high def or not. JVC is not really a well liked company for cameras. Consumer high def isnt quite here yet, give it a couple years to progress more. Just go with something like panasonic dvc30 for that price, or a gl2, or a vx2100, but i doubt you can get one that cheap. Also, if you have your heart set on HD, go with a more respectable company. I've heard only good things about the sony FX series. I think you can pick up either a fx7, or fx1 (whichever is the cheaper model) in the low 2000s. HD is sick and all, but the technology isnt here yet. How do you plan on playing it on your tv? or having other people play it? not many people have the means to play hd dvds yet.
 
oh wow, got super side tracked there. Ok, so about camera handles. If you do end up getting that camera, you dont even need a handle. It's small enough to handle without a handle. For small cameras, a handle is almost a hassle.
 
if you're interested in that talk to borland on here, i know he's got a one. You can see what he thinks about it. I know other people on here have them too so just look around old threads and see whos got what, then ask questions about em
 
if thats your price range i would look for a vx1000 or a vx2000 if you can find a good deal, dont bother getting and hd, they will eat up your memory so quick
 
yea i actually ordered a GL2 ended up being one of the scam fuckin site. so bad. and the VX ive been lookin around for a while, no good deals with a good site with a good package. the best package you can find is like 2500
 
1st off HD is 10X the resolution of anything else it is top of the line second vx 2100 is filmed on tape... good quality but u can film more HD on for a better quality. gL2 is basicly obselite. its only 3ccd, and no HD. For the price the JVC is the best in the price range in my opinion and better than any sony cannon or pannosonic out there right now.............not for long tho. if anyone has a high deff T.V. out there they no how good the picture is . the HD cameras r the same Quality 1080p.. HD is the future everything else will soon be obsilete
 
sorry my mistake the vx 2100 is filed on tape good quality but the JVC is filmed on hard drive which means u can film longer on the hard drive then with tape and the hard drive from what i hear is a better quality picture

yea i read that, good thread ^^. HD takes up uber amounts of space. the VX2100 is a solid camera but i cant find a good price with a good package.
