I have the money, but should i buy the Gopro HD wide for some skiing? the videos look sick, but i know they do alot of editing. Any help or suggestions? thanks

If you have to ask about audio, then it won't be good enough for you. And the screen is not as issue, it's wide enough that you'll never miss.

just wanna make sure my money is getting a quality camera. i dont really care about the audio as much as the video

Be carefull if you have a mac... I have a mac book pro and the go pro has major issues pluging into it. so i have to use a card reader which works fine, but the format i think m4v doesnt work on mac to well, Imovie will handle it but final cut express/pro wont accept it... And at least on mine, you have to take the battery out and put it back in to turn it on, and sometimes it will only record for 5 seconds.. Otherwise its a great camera with great footage, but a couple bugs, that for me, make it usless sometimes. I do plan on returning it and geting a new one however.

thanks for the heads up. ill be using it with a gateway with windows 7, have you heard anything buggy with that?

macbook pros have an sd card slot and the gopro records in mp4 which works really easily with final cut and mac in general. no offense but everything you said there technology wise was wrong

that and you can import with imovie and then edit with fcp or whatever you plan to use for editing software? thats how i tend to import video in most cases anyways
