So I was skiing at my friends house (seshing a rail, you know..) and my $500 was sitting on the tripod inside. Well it got knocked over and the screen cracked. It won't turn on either.. Here's a picture of the camera:

The screen flips out and that crakced, even though it was closed. I bought it from bestbuy and got the two year warranty. Do you think it will cover it?

Before the hate train arrives, I bought this with my won money, and $500 is quite a bit for a 15 year old..

Man do I hope so.. I'm really bummed, this was my first camera. Anyone ever work at bestbuy that could give me an opinion? The guy that sold me the warranty also said that it would cover anything short of throwing it against the wall, so I could use that as a plead I guess

its 100% worth returning it and using the warranty, that's what it's for. if they ask say it was an accident, and explain the story. I got water in one of my cameras and it was so depressing, shit sucks man, hope it all works out well

YES
store warranties are honestly a rip off unless you have intentions of using the coupon against the store.
for example my ex-girlfriend worked retail at big box electronics stores all her life, and she said that for instance if you buy a warranty on a camera, and you wait like 1 year 364 days on a 2 year warranty, and return it and say whatever, you just don't like the way it is working, it is acting funny, whatever. They have to take it regardless of reason, and give you a gift card for the amount you paid for the product minus warranty. Aka your electronics don't depreciate in value. you could do this on video cameras, digital cameras, monitors at office max and staples.
you could return them broken also obviously in anyway you can imagine.
store warranties are a waste of cash but they do have accidental coverage which is pimp. So it's a 50/50 thing ya know.
