Camera Batteries

So basically, in the cold my batteries dont last more then 15-20 minutes...anything I can do to improve this?

get a set of at least 2100mA NIMH batteries. Rayovac has a new kind out that will charge in 15 minutes too. They are pimp.

NIMH batteries are pretty much the best batteries you can get in 'standard' sizes (AA, AAA etc)

Ive enver had that happen. I use the sony lithium ion batteries they seem to work fine.

Actually there video camera batteries, so they dont come standard, you have to buy new 40 dollar ones.

ahh gotcha i thought u meant like digi cam.

Well there isn't really anything u can do but hope for the best. Try taping one of those hot paws things to the back of your camera, that should keep the battery warm enough to get a little extra time out of it.

If getting a $40 battery is what you have to do, do it.

You can get better batteries for cheaper, but since they're not made by the company that made your camera you'll be voiding the warranty and if the company finds out you won't get any warranty on your camera.

my camera is JVC, and i relatively have the same problem... some solutions, dont use the lcd screen (kinda sux without it tho)... what i do is i have two batteries, and it came with a really great rechargeable battery, so if there isnt an outlet, at lunchtime ill switch batteries, and put the used battery to the rechargeable and it will be recharged very quickly! hope that helps

i have one of those big 8 hours batteries for my gl-1. i can use that battery for weeks on end in the cold and it will still hold a charge. have to charge it after about 2 weeks of hard use.

yeah I just bought a 9hr battery....even in the freezing cold I can get 4.5 hrs out of it...which is more then I'll ver shoot in one session
