Ok so I am looking to buy a backpack to take my camera skiing with me so I need some advice.

My camera is a Lumix G3 and I have 2 lenses and a gorillapod,

inb4 Gear Talk. I just thought folks with better knowledge would check M&A.

+k for anything helpful.

What is your budget? I would consider some fstop bags. They are very popular around here, also extremely high quality.

http://fstopgear.com/ That is if you have a high budget. If you want to look at something cheaper I would consider Lowepro bags, I use a flipside and I like it alot. Also very high quality.

http://www.lowepro.com/ Another idea would be to buy an ICU for your normal backpack. (something that divides your backpack into different areas.(Also sold on F-stop's website) Hope this helped man. I would extremely recommend a lowepro flipside, it works amazingly for my fits all my gear perfectly, and helps prevent things from getting stolen.

Thanks man really helpful.

Just having a quick look at the f-stop stuff just a little out of my price range. I'm thinking about £100 so about $150 (??), but if I can justify it I could probably stretch it.

I personally am fine with my Dakine pack... Gets the job done. Great for park and resort shoots, but they don't really have enough room for backcountry essentials plus the ICU. It also has a rear entry system which is a must for me

My tamrac was also pretty boss. Not waterproof like the dakine, but had way more room and the compartments were laid out much better. My only gripe was it didn't have a back access compartment which for me now-a-days is a huge dealbreaker

F-stops are top of the line; biggest problem for many of us is the cost. I'm really looking into the whole ICU-mountain pack combo though. seems really smart and cheap
