I was just wondering what everybodies favorite camera angle is to film or watch. I personally like getting eye level with the end of the rail and taping that... i think it looks sick as hell

When the cameraman does a follow, but then goes off the jump with the rider/skier. There are a couple of shots like that in Afterbang, soooo sick.

dude there are way too many camera angles to list them all, besides, every hit has its own best angle, so your little rail idea won't work on every rail, each shot is its own separate thing

Any angle will be boring if that's all you stick with - you need to just try out a whole lot of different stuff. I shot a load of rail photos from ground level at the end of the rail though that turned out great.

yea definately when the filmer goes off the kicker too, or heli-angles for sure those are my favorite

yea when i film i do like 6 shots of one rail.. im just saying i like the end and eyelevel the best

the sickest is in like mountain bike movies where the camera is above the rider and it follows him along the track, how do they do that? you can't see any wires or anything, and it's not some dude riding behind him b/c sometimes it goes off the trail.

Why do black people dislike me? If it wasn't for white dudes they would still be slaves.

And I'm sure I would own a few.

^ its probably a cable cam

i know you said there is no wires

but chances are their are wires

if not my secound best guess would be like a blimp, they have cams that move in mad far and can follow a object moving up to like 100mph.

but blimps and stuff are normally only used for huge sporting events

i luv the view of the fisheye, but in certain places and the angle/movement... especially close on rails.... tho do u have to get those whole proffesional cameras to just get that rounded flavor or can u attach it to a regular digital?

heli-follow cams are the shit. like in frontline when the helicopter follows cr's bio 1080, its sick. and his HUGE corked 3 toeards the end of his segment is so sick too.

I agree with Snonasty, helicopter follow/side cameras are the shit... like in the TGR movie when they do a helicopter sidecam alongside Pyramid gap.
