Came across this on fb....

so dumb, skiing and snowboarding are nearly identical sports, yet for some reason there has always been a huge divide between the two. i feel like one of the major appeals of mountain sports is that everyone is out there just to enjoy the beauty and fun of it all, yet some people need to turn it into a war of peevish attempts at degrading one another. we have enough hatred and fighting in this fucked up world, and my favorite place to get away from that is the slopes. so i dont want to here about how gay i look with poles, or how lame it is to have your feet locked together. just enjoy what you are doing, let other people enjoy what they are doing, and make the world a friendlier place to live.
 
i had my fun even though i disagree with ski/snowboard animosity. some of my best friends are snowboarders!

A couple of my good buddies are snow boarders and Ive never understood the hate between the two. I guess it has to do something with the fact that they are two completely different "styles" if you will. Boarders act completely different than skiers IMO. But for some reason the majority of snow boarders at my hill suck mass balls. Ive never seen anyone do more than a 540.
 
anyone who hates on either sport is a kid who bought all his gear at zumiez and only skis/rides like 4 or 5 times a year with skiclub, ive never met a "local" or every day rider/skiier who had any kind of animosity towards the other.
 
Exactly, all the snowboarders I know that hate skiers are cocky kids who think they are great but really suck, and vice versatile. Any good skier or snowboarder realizes that it's basically the same sport, and without skiing, snowboarding wouldn't exist, and without snowboarding, skiing would probably not be at this level today.
 
i dont hate snowboarders at all, like i ride with a snowboarder. i just hate the douche snowboarders, just like i hate the douche skiers. everyone hates douches

I posted a few times. Idiots. I snowboarded for 10 years then switched to skiing because I knew it was better. They're kinda IDIOTS.
 
my friend who snowboads still hate skiing everytime i show him some dope matt walker stuff hes like skiers how to clue what urban is and........................... this page needs to be spammed
