my gateway computer's in pretty good shape, but then again i loaded it up, and i certainly paid for it. but it renders video like nobody's business!

 
gateways are CRAP, why would anyone ever buy a gateway. they use the shittiest parts and are based around a cow. i mean dell is hella cheaper and the best quality for the money by far. but i dont buy comuters pre-assembled, i build my own to make the best super computer i can

yeah sure fuck some pc's like gateway and shit but if you build your own and make it kick ass it will surpass anything. you an build a computer for half the cost of a gateway and it will be 10x better. i guess u gotta get used to a mac to use it well... but we have mac's at school and i swear those pieces of shit crash all the time. u cant use certain programs either... such as aim express, it just fucks up usually. ive also found mass other shit doesnt work, it utterly confusing, 1 mouse button?? comeone thats stupid, monitor and tower all in one... stupid idea for upgrades. the list goes on and on why NOT to buy mac's, but ill stop now. if macs are sooooo good why dont more people use them. you dont see many companies run by mac's, wonder why? CUZ THEY CRASH ALL THE TIME AND ARE NOT STABLE, plain and simple.

200 bucks? Go to walmart and get a real camera at the least. Sony or canon, thats the only way.

My hardrive went out on my gateway 1 YEAR AND A WEEK after I bought it. Guess what they don't cover that on warranty after a year and if you want extended warranty it's an extra $300. This happened in August and since then numerous other little things have gone out, ex: keyboard, optical mouse, speakers are fizzling and not to mention the monitor is fading. Last time I spend $1700 on a piece of shit. FUCK GATEWAY.

thats very untrue about macs. Os 9 was a little squirrely, but os 10, built on the unix platform, is the most stable OS to date. 10.3 uses the newest unix codes and its practically crash proof. Unix is the king of stability

yes we only have one mouse button, but any professional in graphic design with a mac has a special mouse. I have a 300 buck jogwheel/trackball 6 button mouse from Kensington on its way.

Actually, the imac and emac are just as expandable as any other computer. You can upgrade the HD/ram/video card. Hell macs even have processor upgrade cards for these systems, so yes, they are upgradable

macs are the way to go if you want a solid, no bullshit machine. I depend on my g5 to do my entire workload of video, and i wouldnt trust a pc to do it. Just look at everyone else. Ski films/some major hollywood films/almost all independent businesses that deal in video/film use macintosh as their platform. must tell you something

(and no, im not upset, haha i just cant NOT defend a mac)
