Cam Help: Getting step down ring OFF

So a few months ago, I put a step down ring on my Panasonic Gs 500 for a lense. I dont remember putting it on that tight, but now I cant seem to get it off. Any ideas on how to remove it. Here are some pics of the ring attached to the cam:

Id also like to hear some techinques here, my polarizing filter and uv filter have been stuck together for awhile...

I think I can help you guys out. Get some rubber gloves like for washing dishes and just grab it and turn really fuckin hard. Other then that I have no clue but I got the spaces ring off my hv30 that way so it could work for you to.

one thing that i never really even though of that was just told to me was that pressure between the lenses will get them stuck, apparently if you go from high elevations down to sea level with 2 filters togeather it can get them stuck. Dont know how this helps you but thats what this thread reminded me of

worse comes to worse, use a vice. Step up/step down rings are only a few bucks anyways.

yeah but screw on the vice the wrong way and you could crack/ruin the stock lens

Also, you can put it in the freezer for a while and then try the above.

same thing happened to me and i just screwed my WA lens back on a little tighter. what could work is some vice grips set just barely on with some cloth underneath. just be gentle

i think what i did once with my gl2 was us lineman pliars...scratched the fuck out of the filter...but it got it off. also use a rubber opener thing like horner suggested. or just take roids and get jacked so you can get it off...duh
