This is probably one of the greatest strips of all time, being funny while being super in-depth/philosophical. So what are some of your favorite strips?

Always a favorite comic of mine. In fact the only one I really ever read. The snowman ones were hilarious. Same with Calvinball and the cardboard boxes
 
i own every single book in calvin and hobbes collection, uncluding the complete collection, im half way done with the second volume of it.
 
Someone told me they didn't know what Calvin and Hobbes was.

I am no longer acquainted with that person. I love, love Calvin and Hobbes. It was my childhood
 
Totally. Bill Waterson is a great artist. Also, the dinosaurs and trains are some of his best works in the comics.
 
calvin and hobbes is definitlly the best comic ever. i have every book and have probably read each strip at least 5+ times, it just never ever gets old. Those skis are sick, too
 
There have been 1000 threads on this, but nonetheless, calvin and Hobbes was one of the biggest parts of my childhood. It was literally how I learned to read. I used to just look at the pictures, and then later on, started reading the words. I think that I am only missing Yukon Ho, Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat, and the Tenth Anniversary from my collection.

I love the deeper meanings that you get from all of the strips when you re-read them when you are a lot older. There is no comic strip that will ever come close to the magical world that Bill Waterson created. It really makes you reflect on a lot of things in life.
 
cut them some slack, their probably adopted. even worse, i met some girl who told me she didn't like calvin and hobbes. shes dead now
 
I support this thread. I own the whole collection and will never get rid of them.

Pearls Before Swine is another one of my favorite strips.
 
my life is complete. i would pay a million dollars that i dont have for those skis. wtf.

i still have probably 8-9 calvin & hobbes collections in my room, and i reread them regularly lol it really never gets old.
 
Calvin and Hobbes is annoyingly good. I usually have one or two in my night stand that I flick open every once in a while. It's really hard to imagine them in the funny pages, with that special needs kid who misunderstands words and the crappy jokes about how much teenagers sleep.
 
I have still have all the collections. My favorite is definitely Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat.
 
im all about the Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons. or lazy sunday, that one is amazing.
 
my all-time favourite comic strip. XKCD is a close second (but without the nostalgia)
