Calvin and Hobbes

I was looking through some threads and I saw Jollygreengiant's sig which is a quote from Calvin and Hobbes.

It reminded me of how amazing Calvin and Hobbes is. I loved them when I was younger because of the silly down to earth humor, but I reread them earlier this year and realized that there is so much more to Calvin and Hobbes than I thought.

So Calvin and Hobbes FTW.

If you have not read any Calvin and Hobbes, go out and do so now, you will not regret it.

If you haven't read in a while, Calvin and Hobbes is always worth a reread.

good thread. plus karma, was thinking about how calvin and hobbes exist on an adult leval earlier today

I used to read so much of them.

Best books ever. I had like 6 of them and read each of them dozens of times. So much better than any shit cartoons on TV or anything. Those comics were actually epic

calvin and hobbes are timeless. i have all the books. they are so much better than some of the shit on TV and in the papers today.

I literally was just reading calvin and hobbes while making some toast before coming back to this and checking NS. Then I see this thread.

Coincidence? I think not.

i've read every single one ever published and i re-read all of them about once every 2 yearsthey are my favorite reading-material ever, i fucking love calvin and hobbes

the real last one was one with them romping through the snow with a sled, then ends with them sledding off into the distance and i think hobbes says "its a magical world" then calvin says "lets go exploring buddy" or something like that

I have a story about Calvin and Hobbes.....basically, for a few years after taking earth science in 9th grade, I could not for the life of me remember what I DID in the class. I knew I didn't sleep and I knew I didn't do other class work or anything, but I also knew I NEVER payed attention at all...I seriously couldn't remember where that time went, I had no recollection of the class whatsoever. It was like this big void in my life. Then like 2 years later, I saw a Calvin and Hobbes book and it all came back to me - I spent the entire year of earth science reading Calvin and Hobbes.

this is awesome! i love calvin and hobbes, ive got all of them and reread them frequently. long live bill watterson.

There is nothing better than sitting on a warm couch by the fire drinking a big cup of hot chocolate and reading Calvin and Hobbes

to this day calvin and hobbes is the only comic that I actually laughed out loud at. I remember I was so pissed when he stopped writing them.

stupendis man and the babysitter is one of my favorites and when he makes the transmogifier and becomes a mini hobbes! Love those comics!!!

I've always loved this one:

I can't find the Spaceman Spiff computer trouble strip, but that's a favorite too.

Sweet find, thanks

I have all the books at home so I don't need it there, but this will be really good (or bad, lol) at school.

Calvin and Hobbes is way more adult orientated than you realize when you are a kid.

Peanuts is kinda like that too sometimes.

ya idk why this thread makes me miss all the good reads. i found a huge deal at barnes and noble once and i had a gifty card so i bought every book.. they were so great..

My dad loved these books and had a bunch of them. We even had a dog named Hobbes. I can remember looking through them before I could read, and as soon as I could, I read them all. They're the best

ahhhh I still have all the books somewhere, havent seen them in years. gotta go find em and reread them all in one sitting, god I loved calvin and hobbes to death

Calvin and hobbes is something that you can read throughout your entire life and still get new meaning from it. it is amusing so it appeals to children, but also has many different layers of political and religious topics.

I LOVE IT!!!!!

id keep posting good strips but for some reason my last one failed.. maybe ill try that preview button one of these days

Calvin and Hobbes...ahhhhhhh. I'm a proud owner of all the comic collections and I just can't get enough.

My dad started reading them to me when I was three or so, I'm pretty sure he owns all of them. It's incredible how something I loved at that age can seem so exciting now. The Revenge of the Babysat was by far my favourite of the collections.

i used to read calvin and hobbes all the time. i am so going to the library tomorrow and getting calvin and hobbes
