And I just downloaded some Gilles Peterson, he's a british DJ and he has some really relaxing jazzy tracks, download "In Brazil", great album to chill to.

for some really chill, nice music, i would highly reccomend yo la tengo. especially their album, "and then nothing turned itself inside out." that is about as low key as you can get. there are a couple rockers on the album, but most of it is super mellow. good stuff.
 
i second bonnie prince billie. his album "master and everyone" (i think thats the name..) is fantastic. and very "calm."
 
idk if it's what you're looking for, but i like gentleman's stuff, cause it's not like a "hardcore" reggae that i can't understand. im def gonna look into other people mentioned on here

check out Jack Nitzsche, in fact check out the Death Proof soundrack. Then check out the Kill Bill soundtracks (even if you didn't like the movies, the music is really really good)
