JUST UN-FUCKING-ACCEPTABLE

this doesn't really belong in S/T so I am sorry, but I just thought I would bring attention to this. I "search barred" the forums, looking for a specific callout, and this just pissed me off.

 
Yep "Yet another callout: Mr_-K" is mine. Fucking HoCakes. I hope my guy enjoys his money while he can. He's going to get a nice visit this year around christmas time. I'm already in the area, so I thought i'd pay him a kind visit.
 
haven't gotten scammed yet and i'm not a cheap asshole to scam anyone else, but props to this thread. it's pathetic to see that many scammers. we all ski so we need to show each other love!
 
Just the thought of doing what you said makes me feel uncomfortable. +k for the idea though:D.

I've been going through and vouching for the people I have dealt with before, so people can see who is legit. Also, from now on, I always throw potential dealers names up in the forum search bar (that goes for previous names too) to check for callouts. Hope everyone else does the same.

In my callout, I hadn't known of the sketchiness of the guy b/c nobody warned me of a previous callout.

As i'm scanning, I see that many of these callouts could have been avoided by a simple search or in the case of the https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/657746/

case, one person should have bought the item, then posted that they payed for it, which would have prevented the other 2 getting fucked.(not calling anyone out for irresponsibility here)

Practice safety ya'll and help prevent scams.
 
Just too many shady people making NS into a bad environment. Wish they would GTFO and let the rest of us buy and sell in peace. It would be nice to not have to be so cautious on here.

I like that idea. Easy way to check on a seller if you are considering a transaction. The thread wouldn't be black and white, but if your name is in there, it would definitely make people tread carefully when dealing with you - so hopefully that would encourage NSers to keep their name out of the "Callout Stick Thread"

 
Yeah dude scammers suck ass. i am one of the people who called another person out up on that list. let me tell you. it sucks getting your hard earned cash only to have it stolen. guess i should have looked more into him. its my fault for not doing that. but still sucks to get ripped off.i wish everyone could just not steal.
