Ok.

Time for a callout / request for information

I purchased a pair of gloves + a hoodie from *D_ling* about a month ago.

Seemed like a legit kid, but nothing recieved as yet.

I'm looking for some info:

1. Does anyone know him?

2. Is this kid legit?

3. Has this kid gone on vacation or something? He hasn't been online since the 27th. (I know a few weeks without being on NS isn't something to get wrapped up about, but it perfectly coincides with him lying about when he sent the gear and then disappearing)

4. Does anyone have some contact details for him.

Now, I understand that people are busy and all that shit, but if I am prepared to pay someone within minutes, there is NO reason why the seller shouldn't hold up their end of the bargain and ship my gear within a reasonable timeframe (a few days at best). If you can't ship on time - STATE IT IN THE SALE THREAD.

I reinforced that airmail was imperative because sea mail takes 3 months, whereas airmail takes 7-10 days.

My ski season started today. I don't have gloves. It is also winter and I want my fucking hoodie.

BOTTOM LINE:

Just because I am in Australia, doesn't mean that you have the right to fuck me over. It also doesn't mean that I am unable to do anything about it if you do decide to fuck me over.

I have successfully traded many thousands of dollars worth of goods with over 30 people here and I have been fucked over three times from buying things from kids on this website, this is potentially the fourth.

I am fucking sick of it and this time I will be following it up and I WILL receive my goods or I WILL receive my money back.

I have the time, I have the resources and I most definitely have the fucking motivation to do so.

I have only ever been good to the members here, and for someone to straight up stick that shit in my face, it goes down to the bone..

There may very well be a good explanation for why this kid hasn't been online, if so - i'd appreciate if someone that knows this Pat Darling could let me know.

I don't like making these threads when they aren't warranted. Public callouts aren't cool, although nor is telling someone they will get gear in a week or so and making them wait a month without any result.

Silence, he screwed up with me too, he was suppose to send me 4 knit hats, but only sent 3, said he forgot the other one, then he said he was sorry and said he was gonna include cash into the package when he sent out the 4th, and i never got shit...i really didint get fucked over...but he lied, and it wasnt that fast of shipping either...
he seemed legit and a cool little kid trying to help me out, but in the end he kinda sneaked me

i know the kid personally..although i never really talk to him i am friends with him on facebook and he rides at my local mountain..he is a younger kid maybe like 15 so that could always be an issue for shipping or getting to the shipping place but no need to lie..
 
+karma for helping a good newschooler in need. people that fuck people over are gay and do nothing but make other scared to buy on here ive already had people intrested in my stuff but dont want to buy cause theyve been fucked over

talk to hoodmcsteezy about our little trade, i took like a fuckin long time to ship him my skis, i was just busy and shit. sometimes life gets at you.
 
thats weird, D_Ling made a custom knit beanie for me and sold me something else and everything was legit. hopefully hes just camping or something, but that situations sounds screwy
 
I dealt with him a little while ago and the sale went pretty good so idk. Ive heard mixed reviews on him
 
Interesting..Seems not everyone things he's dodgy. Maybe he is just super lazy, or maybe he sent the gear seamail to save himself some cash and told me he sent it airmail thinking I wouldn't notice a difference of 11 weeks..
 
I hate these threads! What people don't realise these days is that you're not anonymous on the internet and you can't get away with this shit.. Go to TGR for a few good examples.

*D_Ling* has fucked up pretty bad on this one. IMO he should send the gear and either refund some money or throw in extra goods as some compensation.

Silence, I'm in Australia. If you need to borrow/have some gloves or a hoodie for the start of your season, I'm happy to help. People, we should all do what we can to make this situation less shit for Silence and keep the B/S/T forum a happy place.

ive sold to him and he paid fast... but never bought from him. its fishy that he said he sent it out 2 days ago on the 14th and then says he shipped out on the 21st. and it wouldnt have been a typo by mixing up the 1 and 2 because he woulda said 21th. like 12th... but mixing the numbers. get it?
 
thats exactly what im saying. on may 14th, he said he shipped it out 2 days ago, which meant he shipped it out on the 12th. then later he said he shipped it the 21st. so someone coulda caught that, but maybe he mixed up the 1 and 2 in a type when he said 21. but a typo would not have been a valid excuse, because if it was a typo he woulda said 21th. because he woulda meant 12th, but mixing up the 1 and 2 would be 21th. its confusing, i know
 
That is what led me to make a callout..

Sure things can take time, but when he told me:

a) He sent it airmail (7-10 days)

b) He sent it on the 12th

c) Oh wait, he actually sent it on the 21st

Things get a little questionable.

If anyone KNOWS this kid - i.e goes to school with him etc, can you please ask him what's up or at least get him to look at this thread...

I'd like to hear his side of things before I call his parents when it's breakfast time..

hate to see this happen. this site should be a community and we should help each other out & not fuck each other over.

Anyone who has filed a paypal claim in a similar situation to this (i.e non-ebay) - what was the result and how long did it take for paypal to do anything?
 
i would give him a few more days man.... yeah he probably lied about sending it out the first time, but people are lazy, its happened to me before, and usually they send it out the second time.

I recently bought a wah pedal on ebay, emailed the guy to make sure he shipped it, said he hsipped it on the 12th... a week later i didnt have it so i was like wtf and he said he forgot to ship it and shipped it on the 19th (that day). believe me i was pissed, probably felt just like you because he straight up lied to me about shipping it... but he did ship it the 19th and i got it a couple days ago...

so i would give him the 7-12 days after when he said he shipped it (the 21st?) and if it hasnt come by then, then i would file a claim.
 
It was the 21st of MAY he said he sent it. Well over a month ago.

I filed a dispute on the 7th June and escalated it to a claim back on the 11th and still haven't heard anything..

There would be a reward for someone that can help me get my money back.
 
Since im the event coordinator at my mountain i wont let him do any events until you either A. Get your money back or B. Get your stuff.. this includes our pre season rail jams..

this kid is a little bitch. look on his original thread that was selling the gloves and hoodie. one of his statements said " coat only worn three times", funny thing is, he has 4 lift tickets on it... hmmm. this kid seriously is a little lying bitch. i hate kids like this and they are the ones who make websites like this one hard to use for all of us. shit happened to me once, thats why im so angry. if it happened to you im sure you can agree.

Happy with paypal's response, hopefully it all turns out well. I bet there isn't any money in the account and i don't end up getting shit back..

The kid should still not be given any respect ANYWHERE. He brings down the name of sites like this, and doesn't offer anything positive to the community. This is reflected in the other 'sales' he has tried to conduct on this site and the bullshit he feeds people.

He is lucky he can even compete in the railjams.

The best thing i could think of would be to let him compete in a railjam - make him the winner. Call him up on the podium infront of everyone, give out prizes for 3rd and second place and then say Pat Darling - First Place!!! "you aren't getting shit you little punk - you fuck people over and think it's funny. now go fuck yourself."
 
I'll let you know if I actually get any money refunded. I'd almost be willing to let it go it if this punk isn't allowed to do any events.

At the end of the day, HE hasn't tried to resolve this whatsoever.
