On April 12th I messaged him about a pair of crowbars he had for sale. Mentionned that I needed them to get to me before I left for Oregon on May 1st. ( Main reason is my goggles are curently fucked ) and only have a frame left and I though buying a pair is pretty much same price as buying only the lens.

On April 14th he told me they were available and I payed him with paypal directly.

On April 18th I asked if got shipped and he said yes.

I am leaving saturday morning for NYC and then going to Hood and the goggles arent here still so i messaged him about it.

He first said that he wrote the address wrong on the package so he had to sent them back. ( Typical lie)

Then after he changed his story saying he had no money to send them before last monday.

I dont even know if he really sent them. Bothom line is, I wont have goggles for Hood.

He then offered to pay a bit more for my family to send them to me in hood when they would get to my house. That is a great idea, although, they have not even made it to my house yet and they would take another week or so to get to Oregon after that. Not even taking under concideration that I am renting a vacation rental for a month and vacation rentals dont have Shipping adresses. I could always have it sent to a post office or something but I would still be without goggles for 2 weeks out of 4 in Oregon.

I told him that if they wouldnt get here tmrw , he would have to refund my money, and I would send his goggles back ( to my expense ) as soon as they would get here . ( Actually would have my mom do so ) . Therefor I could buy myself a lens at a shop in Oregon when i would get there. But he refused, and told me that I didnt understand, that he didnt have money because he has no job and so on...

The only other option I have is to declare fraud on his paypal account, which I think is pretty shitty to do.

He obviously acted very selfish about this, didnt care about the fact that I needed those for my trip.

I know his feedback is pretty clean but this is pretty shady to do, as I am leaving for Oregon this weekend and I have no goggles, I wouldve bough them off someone else if I knew this would happend. He also stopped answering me on facebook.

I think the rite thing to do is refund me my money ? what do you guys think?

My personal opinion, you sent him money on paypal for a good that you never received. If he is truly out of money and can't afford to ship them, he spent the money that should have been allocated for shipping the item.

File the fraud claim. it's not your problem that he didn't ship the item that you paid for. If he had shipped the item when the money came in from the sale, there would be no problems.

It definitely sucks that this guy screwed you around over the goggles, even if he may not have intentionally meant to. In all honesty if I were you I would be in agreement that he should refund your money and you just send the goggles back when they arrive, however seeing as you've said multiple times how he "has no money or job", he likely already spent the money you sent him.

In the end, your probably just going to have to deal and wait for the gog's to come in and just use them next winter / w/e

best advice is just buy a real cheap pair of flat lens scott's or something that cost next to nothing
 
Exactly my thoughs. Except the money would be suspended for 30 days. I wouldnt be able to touch it anyway. I think I will have to rock some sunglasses for the month, thanks to the person that gave the idea. Still shitty from him, he is a respected seller and buyer on here.

Dont spend the money you dont have... I guess. haha Also he mentionned he shipped it, but he doesnt remember the exact day, he said on a saturday? I dont know if its different in the states but the post office dont ship on weekends. And he has no tracking number of what sort.

I also think that even if he shipped it, it was late, he shouldve asked the person at the post office how long it was going to take for it to get to me, and if it wasnt going to be on time, he shouldve just told me, and then i wouldve asked him to refund me my money.

I wouldnt keep myself from dealing with him, he seems like he is legit, just make sure you are both in agreement before he sends out your stuff, maybe it was just too short of notice for his Student budjet.
 
I never really understand this, do people really not have an extra $10 to mail something they said they would? Have people never heard of a thing called a savings account, more people should start using them.
 
OP is in Canada, robert bittner is in NH. OP got impatient and made a callout thread because it took more than a week for a package to go through customs. OP made a mistake (i still respect you for the info and docs u put up in M&A which is why im not destroying you right now), thread is retarted and should be deleted
 
I mentionned this on April 14th they had plenty of time to make it by then. Again its a lack of judgement, if he wouldve asked about the delay, he wouldve known.

Also if he did sent them, that was on monday so there was no way they were going to make it.
 
The point of the call out is that I needed goggles for hood. bough them but never got them in time because the seller '' Didnt have money '' to send them until this week.
 
If he didnt scam you why the hell are you making a callout thread. Usually people make callout threads after the person has avoided returning messages and has blatantly scammed the person. Obviously he is not scamming you and is just in a shitty situation so how the hell is anyone here going to help you oppose to him?
 
She's calling out the fact that he didn't ship when he said he would for a blatantly retarded reason. Also, I believe aside from the "callout" the point of this was asking people whether or not they would agree or disagree as to whether he should give her a refund on the goggles that she needed and won't receive in time.

And as an aside, NH BORDERS on QC/Canada... your customs argument for this is just dildo's
 
you complain too much. it sucks you dont have goggles but you dont need to meantion it in every post. this thread seems unnecessary since its barely been two weeks
 
Not commenting on the actual call out, but if you aren't dealing with a company you should have allowed for longer time to get your goggles. 2 weeks in the post isn't a big deal, especially between canada and the US.
