changed his name to M_S. Still is blaming it on USPS, and they may have lost it, but the seller is still responsible.Didn't get tracking or any way of following up.
And he's now claiming that I am scamming him, because they MUST have gotten to my house.

Okay this is fucking childish, Gooner, just send him a refund, its your fault cause you didn't get delivery confirmation. Which is extremely cheap. Yes the post office might've lost it, but without any delivery confirmation well you screwed yourself there buddy.

and to the OP, ive said it before and ill say it again, never, ever ever send money as a gift, it really doesn't do that much good and it screws you when you potentially get scammed, this is your fault. it gooner would've got delivery comp and the post office lost it, well it is your fault since you did send money in a way that is not reclaimable. You might've just sent him an envelope of cash, why use paypal if you don't try to use the services paypal provides.

If you look at it from a business standpoint, it's 100% seller's fault if a product is lost or damaged. If EVO sends you a pair of pants and they got lost or the turn up sovered in shit, they send you a refund. I realize BST isnt a business, but there's definitely some ethics/common sense there.
 
So what happened to the whole, 'I have a receipt that I already showed you' thing? Unless I missed something, Gooner went from saying he proved he shipped them, to saying it's the buyers responsibility to prove that he didn't. It's basically admitting he's ripping the OP off. What happened is Gooner is just a scheming fuck and unfortunately the mods don't like to get involved in things like this - even though I've been seeing another callout every couple of days...Gooner is still a special case though, haven't encountered many kids who are so proud to be douchebag

so finally some news. After nagging his father for 2 weeks, he finally agreed to send 50 dollars back. It's a bummer that I didn't get a full refund, but with this guy's maturity, I guess i shouldn't have expected anything more.

Don't deal with this guy. It just isn't worth it. I forget what his new name is because he changed it, but don't deal with him.

Coming from an outside readers point of view who just read the whole thread today and has known goonervilles stellar reputation from the past this is what I've come to conclude.

1. In the end really no one is in the wrong or the right here.

2. OnePlank if goonerville wronged you so much why didnt you put in claim with paypal? If sent as a gift whyyyy???? If you were so intent on getting your money back you could have took it with him and not had your father fight your fight. If Goonerville is going to really be that much of an asshole that you can't garner a response out of him (yeah yeah he has his times) get the police involved. You have the receipt you have his address phone number etc etc. I'd be pretty scared if the cops came knocking at the door.

3. EastCoastSkier, STOP. Just FUCKING STOP! Your half the reason the kid has had his reputation destroyed after a misunderstanding. You just took it way to far with leading everyone to the edge asking for Goonervilles head on a pole. My god goonerville has become synonymous with Sagaa as a little fucking scammer. In short please just stop riling up the 12 year olds of NS they have enough problems like finding a ride to the mountain and choosing between MW3 and Battlefield 3.

4. Goonerville, Dude lets face it you done fucked up. Sure we all do from time to time but being a belligerent asshole doesnt help peoples ideas of you. Sure I know EastCoastSkier kinda made everyone despise you and you really cant expect much good to come out of you telling everyone that you have receipts and then come back with nothing (I personally believe you had them and threw out because I do it after like 3 days anyway) However I still feel bad for Goonerville because in know way does he deserve half the hate hes getting just for being an asshole when people call him a scammer because politely telling everyone your not a scammer gets pretty tiring after the 28th time. In short Goonerville save receipts and when someone makes a callout thread about you try to stay positive because if you act dickish people will just assume you did it.

Spark Notes for BST to get lesson out of:

1. Always ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS pay as goods and service under paypal. I dont care if your paying the pope 100 for his steezy special edition Jesus Saga pants mark at as payment for goods and services. Sure that 3 dollars is a bitch but better that than not getting your money back at all.

2. Save your receipts when shipping out and always buy a tracking number, When the USPS truck drives off a cliff into a bottomless lake you'll be prepared,

3. Don't be an asshole during a callout. It makes people assume the worst and hate you. Politely explain the situation and provide that receipt/tracking number from step 2 to prove your legitness.

 
i sent it as a gift because his reputation was fine then, no issues. I got the parents involved before the police. I live in northern CA and he lives in AZ, and I highly doubt the police will go to someone's house because someone in CA called them and told them some story that's worth 100 bucks.
 
100 dollars is considered misdemeanor larceny in nearly all states except ones like new york where it is considered grand larceny. It is actually a viable option and by providing the police with the receipts address pms texts etc etc the Scottsdale P.D. will actually have a open and shut case where it will be a nice change of pace from all of the cactus burglaries they get out there.
