HELP ME DECIDE

Getting a new oil rig in the next couple days and I have narrowed it down to 2 choices.

This thing is dope and I have heard nothing but awesome things about ApixDesigns, plus it comes with a quartz nail and dome already.

But then I saw this guy for the same price...

honeycomb to 8 arm tree perc but I would also need to drop another $40 on an oil dome setup.

Decisions decisions..
 
I guess this sort of depends on if you smoke more concentrates or bud, but if you're a big concentrate smoker you should buy the legit oil rig an take the extra $40 you would have spent and buy a Ti nail.
 
imho, get the gridded if you are using it as an oil rig only. honeycomb to to 8 arm is too much diffusion.
 
i would say go with the ApixDesigns one, as with oil you want not so much diffusion right? plus Smiley is a great guy and does some quality ass work
 
honeycombs are not all theyre hyped up to be. they really dont do anything in locations like this because they will be completely covered in water anyway.
 
Yeah that's what I was worried about because I have heard that too much diffusion is a bad thing with oil since it is already so filtered. I already have a Ti nail but that quartz on the ApixDesigns is dope! Really like the cup style. I plan on smoking pretty much only concentrates but damn that bong is dope and I will still be burning some flowers so idk.. this thread went better than expected though thanks for the help guys! I am waiting for my new debit card in the mail this week so I can't order yet.. I'm just gonna drool over pictures these next couple days. I'm leaning towards the Apix right now but still not sure yet..
 
Im not to sure about getting a bong if you plan on just smoking oil. All those diffusers will most likely take away some of the THC plus the from the smoke filtering through the water. My friend just got a Sherlock glass pipe with a big ol' Titanium nail. The thing hits nicely and gets the job done. If you are smoking concentrates you shouldn't have to worry really about filtering the smoke since its concentrated thc, and in two dabs your stoned out of your noggin. If I were you I would go with the gridded inline rig.
 
Yup that's what I'm gonna do! The guy at the shop with the bong asked me to E-mail him my ID to make sure I'm 18 anyways so that's a no go hahaha..

Will post a fat milkshot of my first dab out of it when it arrives :)
 
This one looks really good. natural perks are the best in my opinion, easy to clean, harder to break. Good looking bowl on that thing too.
 
Came out to $133 after tax and shipping to Washington, If you live near Montclair CA hit up Vapor Smokeshop and go buy it haha.
 
Get the gridded inline. way better for dabbing. and smaller can/ bore will preserve flavor of your concentrait but the grids will make it super smooth.
 
Yeah everyone I talked to on Grasscity said ApixDesigns is pretty much boss as fuck and gridded stemlines are super popular rigs so I feel like I'm making a good choice (:

I'm honestly so stoked. I've smoked out of plenty of nice glass but never owned my own piece of quality glass! My homies are gonna hook it up with dabs for days haha.
 
For me there gets a point to when the glass and perks are too much. I was smoking out of this kids custom built bong. It had all these different attachments and had a crazy pre cooler perc that fed into some sort of diffuser to a honey comb, to a tree perc, then to some chambers and another sort of diffuser. Too much stuff on their for me to know what was going on but it was crazy looking. Just holding the thing worried me since it costs like $500 and was kind of awkward to take a hit from when standing. It hit super clean though.
 
It really doesn't matter to much man it's all personal choice. Although personally I would go with the apix. One reason being, it's cheaper and you won't have to buy a dome. Another is some people actually prefer less percolation with concentrates/oils because it apparently preserves flavor. But if you were wanting to smoke a good amount of bud out of it as well, then you might want to go with the second. So it really comes down to if you're only going to smoke concentrates out of it then definitely go with the apix, if not, you might want to go with the other. Also you might want to eventually invest in a titanium nail in the future, because they retain heat longer and last longer as a whole. Just my two cents
 
you could also get a health stone, my friend brought one back from arizona the other day, pretty sick, no need to heat a nail, just put the dab on the stone and torch(small torch for less butane) it.

you can get them as pipes or as a slide
 
Too big is not really a factor..

This is what I was fanning out of before my brother left for college and it worked pretty damn well haha.

Fuck the honeycomb, tree/arm percs are old news and outdated. Go with the gridded oil rig for sure. Thats a fucking steal for 115 too. I might pick something similar up, ive never seen a stemless gridded oil rig for that cheap
