Caller id through computer

i hate not knowing who's calling and if its for me or my rents or what not so befor i go out and buy a caller id phone i was just wondering if there is anyway just to somehow do it throught the computer, or is this not possable?

you cant just buy a caller id phone you have to pay for it through the phone company, fyi.

I think if you use dial up and have aol some how it can do that

not true my mom got a phone with caller id and that was that 9shes too cheap to pay for that from the company)

ya i had dial up with telus and we had to download something so that if you were on the internet and someone called you could see who it was but i think thats the only way you can do it through the computer
