So my friend and I are taking a roadtrip from Western Washington to Southern California. Anyone know any beaches to hit up? We are basically free balling it down there and don't have a plan and we want some stuff to do. So any suggestions would be nice, thanks.

hahaha a road trip to southern california? dude have you ever been there? obviously not. it's not worth going to. the ocean is brown. there is a pollutted haze in the sky all day long, it is hot as a bitch, and fucking mexicans are everywhere. have fun.

 
dont listen to this kid ^ hes not even from LA, and anywhere in the san diego will be nice like up in ocean side or make your way to venice beach in th LA area or go up to ventura for some surfing. the weather up towards santa barbara is much nicer as well as the air

yeah, when i used to live in santa cruz, i went to capitola beach all the time. its really nice.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

your opinions should still be nullified because you live in one of the nicest surroundings in california and you hate it. give some opinions that actually help people not just "its dirty" which is not true about all the really nice places in so cal

you like it because you live in santa barbara. santa barbara is one of the few nice places in so cal. most of it is run down and dirty.

 
as I said, Comptons is where its at.

there is also good skating in So CaL

but Cpt is definetly the place to be this summer

i agree sean but amongst all the crap in so cal good places still exist and i think an experianced person like yourself should inform people of those places, and let them learn about the shitty ones on their own.

Even if the ocean is brown, air laced with smog, the shore lined with trash, and beaches are packed with people, the beaches in southern cali would still be worth going to. Why?

Because Southern California is a magical place where 'less is more.' Girls believe that wearing as skimpy clothes as possible is a good thing. And they couldn't be more right.

NOR-CAL... its not warm, the water is shit fuck cold but it better looking and cleaner and LA is fuckign gross. SF kills it LA sucks and is uber crowded and your ass will get beat by surf gangs if your tourist bitch self gets in there way. Its way chill up here just get a wet suit. We do have bigger sharks up here though.

Nor cal is fuckin dope. Hit up tahoe go to the lake, gamble, mountain bike, hike, whatever. Then you can go check out San Francisco, but you should wait till august so you can go 2 tha icer comp. i donno theres tons of shit you can do here. message me if you have any questions.

i'm going to san diego at teh end of august, and i hear it's beautiful, so i'm pumped. what else is there to do in san diego (and area) besides beaches .. and the zoo?

they lie. capitola is a decent beach but the sand is dust and pebbles. you gotta hit up Cowelles in Santa Cruz. if you are looking out at the water from the road its ont he right side of thw wharf. its less touristy. and then Blacks/14th Ave (theyre basically the same) is pretty much the shit. 3rd ave is fun, but if you go to It's on the west side (the beach to the right of the lighthouse museum on top of the Lane) you can jump Toilet Bowl. its a rock formation in the shape of a bowl and on a high tide/calm waters its fun. look for the locals doing it, dont be dumb and go into anything you cant swim out of. the lifeguards will slap a ticket on you if they have to rescue your dumbass cause its illegal and youre a tranny.

anyways, as you drive from Washington to CA you have to stop at Bodega Bay in nor cal and get some salt water taffy. its good as sin and the beach is fun. get super high and pass out on it. then go to North Beach and dont go to the beach cause its cold (in San Francisco) but eat pasta there. then head down to Pacifica and collect shells. drive down on the coast towards santa cruz, stop at the San Gregorio General STore and get sodas, then go to 4Mile, 4 miles before santa cruz. once you get in SC turn right onto Swift and drive on the cliffs. youll hit natural bridges, grandpas, sabers, its, the lane, cowelles, mainbeach, beercan beach, 3rd, seabright (eat at the seabright brewery! so good!), "Harbor" beach (aka Twin Lakes), 14th, blacks, hidden, pleasure point, jacks, the hook, privates, capitola, sunset, manresa and then youre in monterey which is the devil incarnate. dont go to monterey unless you want to be very bored. although Carmel Beach is beautiful. and if you can get into Pebble Beach, check out Spanish Bay.

on your way down the coast go to Pismo. its fun.

avoid long beach during Regionals (the regional junior lifeguard/ lifeguard comp)_ cause its overrun with kids in red suits. i was one of them, trust me.

in santa cruz, eat at El Palomar (on Pacific) and Taqueria Vallarta on 41st. Plus, Pleasure Pizza on 41st is AMAZING. the Indicator? oh god, orgasm.

THEN, in Santa Barbara, eat at La Super Rica Taqueria. its worth looking up on mpquest. sometimes my mom and i just drive down there allllll the way from here to eat dinner there. its GOOD.

you seem to have all the cali advice you need, but be sure to hit up a concert at The Gorge on the oregon/washington state line. most amazing venue ive ever seen.
