Anyone have any info?Sounds like I might go but really don't know much.. just know its an hour from Long beach and the surf.. and less then an hour from Big Bear and Mt high and shit.Sounds pretty legit and cool.Plus K for some help or thoughts on the schoolThanks!

Skiing's nearby, but I wouldn't call it prime unless El Nino's flowing pineapple style... If anything mammoth's up the road for sure.
Problems with San Berdoo is that the CSU system is fucked... so make sure your program isn't going to be potentially cut halfway through your career there.

Know a couple professors there, even though I go to UCR.

CSU is screwed WAY worse than UCs money wise. Program caps and unit restrictions make it a 5 year plan no matter what program you try for.

If you qualify, check out UCR. Better school, growing fast, higher academic standards, more robust program offerings, and is only a little further ~10min to the (hopefully soon to be fixed) SR-330 for easy access to Bear.

If you don't mind the stoner boarder/gaper scene bear has a decent park, not mammoth or tahoe status but fun nonetheless

Yep close to Wrightwood... cool school, out of the way, not a lot of partying, but its still ok.Check out Cal Poly Pomona. I went there and skied my ass off. Half hour from Mt Baldy hommie!! good luck. PK

Once you get out to San Bernadino and Riverside it becomes quite a bitch to get anywhere else in So Cal. Your main highways in and out for the most part are the 91 and the 15 wich are nearly always a cluster fuck. If you want to stick with the csu system go to Cal Poly Pomona. It is more centrally located to the beach and mountains (I went there and skied Mountain High, Baldy and Bear all the time as well as went to Newport a lot during the summer), the cost of living is cheap there and it won't take you as long to get to places from there. Good luck either way.

Outside of Mon-Fri between 7-10 and 4-7 the 91 and the 15 aren't bad at all. I regularly make it from Riverside to my beach house in San Diego in less than an hour thirty. It's honestly no worse than the 60/10/57 by Pomona which I used to drive at 5pm every day to get to work.
