Calf pain

whenever i do an ollie or anything where i’m leaning back on my tails, there’s this pain in the right back of my right calf that runs in an imaginary line up about 3/4 of my calf. same spot on my left, so left back of my left calf, but it’s not as bad, probably because i’m right hand and right foot dominant.

i doubt this is normal, so there must be something i’m either doing wrong or something that needs to be fixed. it feels like there’s a bit of space between the top of the boot cuff and my shin when i lean back, but the bottom half of my shin is still touching the boot. do i need to make some sort of boot modification(s) to fix this, if that’s the reason behind the pain?

I wouldn’t see that being the pain, are you wearing any type of patterned socks that are textured or maybe a pair of pants wit a zipper that you accidentally tuck in

nah, funny enough i accidentally broke the leg zipper off my ski pants so it can’t be that

i fw the username, great minds think alike

maybe highten the cuff? having the boot a little higher might help with the shin pain having pressure somewhere else. i know eric pollard makes custom higher boots for his mangled broken leg

also having a boot that hugs your calf, holy fuck why didn't i just write this right away. if it doesn't fit put some foam pads on your liner

i’ll try that. i don’t remember ollie’s ever being an issue with my k2 boots when i had power wedges in them. maybe some padding will help with my s/max’s
