Caleb Moore - Critical Condition

Man, its so sad to see him pass away. I hate that. Gives a greater respect for life. At least he died doing something he loved, pushing the limits. Heart goes out to his parents and brother especially.

Vibes to Colton and the entire Moore family. Caleb will never be forgotten as a pinnacle athlete in the snowmobiling world.

RIP. So sad to see this, I have nothing but respect for this man. That beeing said, I don't know whether or not I agree with how X Games handled snowmobiling freestyle and best trick this year. Too many crashes in the freestyle. Both the Caleb brothers had to back out from the competition and Daniel Bodin should thank the gods he wasn't seriously injured on his flip where he almost did the exact same thing as Caleb only on a bigger kicker. Maybe the staff should have stopped the competition and done an inspection of the course? Remember that both the Caleb brothers injured themselves on the exact same jump, doing a trick they had done several times before. There might not be much in that, and again it's just speculation. Then the frightening thing. Jack Strong, former contender in the freestyle FMX best trick from the Summer X Games. He actually attended the competition trying a body flip variation which he had landed on an FMX bike. The strange thing to me here is that he only had approximatly 4hours ever spent on a snowmobile before doing that. I mean, like wtf X Games? Seriously? On his first attempt he ejects mid air, cause he had problems with the clutch and wasn't used to handling the snowmobile itself, resulting in a heavy fall and the snowmobile to rush on its own out in the audience hitting an innocent bystander and sending him to the hospital. Like really? To me that shows serious lack of safety from the organisers. X games has been known for taking serious safety precautions, but in this case I really felt that this was poorly done and handled. Just my toughts. Again RIP Caleb, toughts go out to his family and friends.

RIP - I will always remember you for being a straight up bad ass and walking yourself off after that crash.

Oh shut the fuck up with that "blame the course" BS. Everything on that course was built insanely well and it's ultimately up to the RIDERS to what they wanna pull. What are you going to sue the X Games because the prize purse is too high and it makes the athletes go insane that they have to do certain runs? Like wtf, Vincenzo? Seriously? And a stuck throttle because a sled crashed happens and has nothing to do with the experience of the rider... although he might have had a better chance of landing it.

You're the kind of kid that sounds like he'd sue the ski resort for overshooting a jump like a fucking idiot.

Sorry guys, can't tolerate that kinda BS off bad news like this. He knew the risks, he trained for it his whole life. Shit happens.

Shit happens though I wonder if he had a chest protector on... So many moto sports athletes (and downhill biking guys) fucking send it on features much scarier than any of our snow booters without full protective gear. Baffling to me. But they take the risk...

He stuck the throttle? Are you retarded? He missed the clutch halfway through the jump and the sled went into nosedive so he ejected. If you watched the video again, the sled only goes full speed as soon as it gets upright from the crash, then after going maybe 2meters the speed dies down completely. From there it just sails towards the crowd and hits an unlucky guy standing infront of a truck. Get your facts straight, I was simply sharing some toughts. If the throttle was stuck that truck and sled would be pretty fucked up and that guy would probably be dead. "You're the kind of kid that sounds like he'd sue the ski resort for overshooting a jump like a fucking idiot." Nah man, that isn't me. Don't call people fucking idiots when you clearly already have taken on that nickname for yourself.

So sad to hear... R.I.P. at least he was doing something he loved, pushing the limits, and progressing the sport.

Let's worry more about people with diseases and cancer than fucking idiots with too small of dick flipping 450 pound machines on to themselves... like what do you think would happen?

If you don't care then why post in the thread? No need to just trash Caleb, especially right after his death...Now if you don't mind, could you please leave?

Thanks bud.

theres always a few insensitive assholes on the internet... dont let them get to you^not sayin hes not a fuckin dick for having no respect, cause he is

rip caleb i hated watching that crash, kinda turned me off from xgames as a whole this year.. too buck everyone gettin broke off..

such sad news. but I can't help thinking of the up side. he from doing one of his favourite things, and I know that if I were going to die young I would want it to be doing my favourite thing which is skiing. he went out as a champ.

I don't often get sad from hearing about stuff like this but I guess it's just too close to skiing.

rip.
