my uncle lives here, and my dad is gonna go out there and visit him in a few weeks, and i have the option to go. i just want to know if there is any good skiing around there. i know nothing about the area (i live in maine) and i mapquested the only mountain i know in idaho (sun valley in ketchum) and its 3 1/2 hours away. so anyone from the area help me out, i wanna go out west and get some skiing done, but is there any skiing to be done where i'm going.

there isn't much. I'm from Boise and Caldwell is an outlying suburb with a horrible reputattion. Your best three bets for skiing are bogus basin, McCall/Brundage, and Tamarack. If you're looking for park skiing then tamarack is your best bet as the bogus basin park is always lacking. if you want pow then mccall is your best bet. Keep in mind that, from Caldwell, Bogus is about 90 minutes away, Tamarack about 3 hrs and McCall about 4 hours. all 3 resorts have web sites if you wanna take a look. Just goggle the resort name (like so) ____________ Idaho.

yea definatly go. its worth it theres bogus tamarack and brundage and there all hella legit from park to pow. caldwell is hella gehto so id be packin homie. hit me up if u got any questions

I grew up in Southern California, but I'd spend all winter in Nampa and ski at Bogus everyday as a kid. Both sides of my family are from Nampa/Kuna.
