So i have to make a video for my AP Calc class, i was thinking about doing a version of a "mythbusters" epsiode, does anybody have myths i could test using calculus?

I would test some sort of tangent line thing. I havent taken calc for a few years and have tried hard to block out that year of my life.

its unfortunate that you probably couldn't do some sort of parody kinda video, or like joke type video. Test the myth that somebody actually enjoys calculus.

haha yeah that would be funny.

i can't really think of any myths you could prove with calculus though... im tryin to think what ap calc covers... did you guys do arc length and 3d rotations and all that shenanigans?

ya, we did cover all that. But hearing the idea above has given me a really good idea. I can think of an equation to measure enjoyment in a class. graph the data of enjoyment and find the area under that curve and see if there was overall enjoyment of the students in the class. Something like that i think could be funny.

HAHAHAHAH holy shit. you said that so i rated him a 6 so i could laugh at you and it went to like 6477. hahahahahaaha

Does anybody have an idea for an equation for enjoyment inside a classroom. I think i am going to use something like

The Myth " AP Calc is more enjoyable than Pre Calc"

The Plan

survey people asking for a fun value and educational value

(fun)^2 + (educational value) - (dissatisfaction) = Enjoyment lever for that day

graph these points over a several day period for more than one class

find the equation for each graph of each class

take the intergral from the start point to the end point and divide by the number of days.

the largest # is the most enjoyable overall then.

Does that seem like it may work
