Did anyone else notice that the song "caged bird" by zion 1 was used in Pretty Good, Refresh, and Everyday was a Saturday? was that a collaboration effort or just a random coincedence because its a chill song?
 
ya i noticed, don't know about it being collaborative or anything like that but def thought it was weird especially since i thought the song didn't match well in any of the parts anyway
 
hah ya same, next time they should check and see what song the other production company's are using
 
i was actually kinda surprised about Caged Bird being used more the the Nalepa Monday remix, Glitch Mob really blew up this year i was lookin for a repeat of MGMT.
 
1st of all, nothing could ever "ruin" the way hornbeck skis. hes dope, skis with a unique and killer style, and very music little, including country, could detract from his ability. On the other hand, caged bird is a shitty song. I really don't like it and I want to hit the mute button the tv when his segment pops on. Solution? YES THERE IS! It's call NEW ERA and has all of Hornbecks shots plus a little more, set to a baller song that I can roll with. sick.

but yeah it happens. obviously competing companies arent going to discuss what songs they are using, so its excusable when it all happens in the same year. on the other hand when the NEXT year someone reuses the song, thats ridiculous.

but think about how many people used mgmt and crystal castles last year. it happens.
 
after hearing it in all 3 i kinda came to the conclusion that there could have been some secret competition on who could use it best, i thought that 3 was way too coincidental. level 1 would have won though
