Anyone here caddy during the summer? I worked in an office last summer which was cool and all, but I figure, while I have the chance, I might as well work outside before Im stuck inside all my life.

Thinking about caddying this summer....Ive heard from some friends that they love it, and some who hate it. Thoughts, experience? Worth it?

I did it a couple of times years ago......the only time I liked it was when the guy I was caddying for was playing a bunch of different betting games w/ the others in the foursome..and he won big time....he paid me $200

 
i did a few summers ago. kinda a rip off though. we got 30 for 18 holes and 15 for 9 + tips. the most i ever got was 45 total. for all that slave work i think we shouldve gotten more

Step 1:What u do is take a go-kart, run em over, take their money, then take of to be a caddy sumwhere else

Step 2: Repeat process until satisfied with the amount of money needed to buy illegal things

its pretty shitty so i forecaddy, watch the balls about 250 yards away and mark them with towels, i get 40 bucks a round plus tips, and nice guys tip like 100 bucks

 
The only thing about Caddying is that it pays well depending on which club you caddy for, but you usually have to go through 2 weeks of training before that. Its a pain in the ass. And you don't get paid while you are some other golfers bitch for 2 weeks. It also takes a good amount of time before you start reeling in the big wages, you wont start out making 60 bucks for 18. It takes a year or more of commitment to the club for that. Depending on where you go, this might not affect you. Just letting you in on it.

Hmmm yea i caddy at a pretty high class country club my uncle got me the hook up on the job (Murrfield where they play the Memorial tournament) i make well over 150 including tip for 18!!

yea I caddy..its pretty dope after you get past the beginner caddying for old women stage..I carry two bags a round and make 40-60 a bag so its pretty nice

If you can actually read a green, you can caddy for pople who would pay you more. I used to caddy, if people at the club know you know your shit, they'll pay a bit more. I had a few offers to caddy in pro tourneys, but I turned them down because I wasn't sure I could still call shots accurately...and it'd suck to make a bad call.

caddying's the shit!! one, i'm full scholarship because of it. two, i make easily well over $100 bucks per round(4-5 hrs) three, i get to golf for free

 
i mow lawns at the local c.c...and its seriously like caddy shack, except there werent any hot women there. we used to play golf in our work clothes, chase gophers in the workman (4 wheel drive golfcart with a large ass engine) and try to hit them with .22's. Welded my front yard rail with Barney our mechanic (real name Barney).

my parents belong to a super nice country club.....and im thinkin about caddying there.......the CEOs of home depot, delta and Ga pacific all go there so i know dudes who have gotten like 350 dollar tips sometimes......and id get to play a whole lot of golf...and i heard you can get good connections caddying

I have seen a jogger with one, i was high when i saw him and for the first couple of seconds i thought he was really a fucking alien(on the oakley medusa hats)

 
i caddy, the first year sucked balls, i didnt get out for like 3 weeks straight, but once i really commited i got out a lot more, most ive made is $50 a bag. Seniors get somthing like $3500 twards collage.

i wanna caddy this summer but in my capital city there's only like 4 golf courses all small to and i dont wanna go out of the city to butt crust nowhere... but it would be a sick job, except i dont play golf

i grew up playin golf, started hitting balls when i could stand up, its in my family. trust me, if you wanna do anything at a golf course its bag boy
