Cable covers. Yay or nay?

Just ordered myself the FT level 1s and I'm not sure whether or not I should keep the cable covers on. Ive heard people that like em and people that dont. This doesnt have to be just about the level 1s though, theres cable covers on other boots too so go for it, whats your opinion?

they actually don't let the cables sit where they are supposed to, so I always advice people to take them off

what I did was make my own!! just ripped off the tongue on a pair of some old Osiris's, put some holes in them and it looked so sick haha!! i repped swag on and off the hill ;)

Seems like nobody really answered your question... They barely do anything so it's up to you and what you want. The only thing they do is they kinda keep the cables in place so putting them on is a tiny bit quicker. By "in place" I mean over the correct bump things on the tongue.

No sir. It's like they're taking the style from jordans and putting them on ski boots. The tongue looks dumb on J's so what would ever make that good for ski boots?

Dude, tough decision.. waay too big for me to help you decide. I just hope you figure this shit out before next ski season.

If I had one of the bulky ones I wouldn't use them, but the minimalist ones that came on my classics are functional and don't get in the way.

This is what happened to me for keeping my cable covers
