Cable cam?

like the you set up a wire and your camera runs down it. im looking to buy a set up but i cant find any online. are they called something else? all ive found are rediculously expensive computer ones so.

and yes i know i could just build one but i thought id look at the prices of some first to maybe save me some work.

there are no companies that make an affordable sled system. Everyone builds their own, that's really the only option.

how much do they run roughly for materials to build in general.? I've been looking into it as well.

its too much of a liability to sell them, so make one! the first one i made was out of metal and a custom welded arm with rollers on the top. it didn't really work so i took two 12" inch bike tires and put them on an arm and then ran it on climbing rope, it works so well and its super smooth, just a little more expensive

I will be buiilding one over the next fiew weeks using climbers rope possibly cable skateboard wheels possibly making it motorized i will keep u all up todate with pictures and ideas

my suggestion is to use ball-bearings for the pulley system, i took to old skateboard wheels, beveled a groove down the middle of both of them and wd40'd the bearings.
