By far the best ski's ever ridden!

So I recently sold my old Salomon Suspects, and upgraded to some Line Afterbangs. For those who dont know, Line in the past 3 years came out with a all wood ski called the Afterbang, it is created like a skateboard deck, basically wood piled on wood piled on a base and edges, pretty simple ski. I have ridden some pipe cleaners, dumonts, vct's, new lib tech nas jib skis, fugitives, and many others and by far I would take afterbangs over those skis any day. I know there are a lot of other twins out there, whats the best park central ski you guys have ridden? Looking to get a new pair next year, and if my opinion doesn't change I might just get a new pair of afterbangs. So poppy and flexible, moveable, super light and fun to ride, plus they are superr cheap, like 350$ new. Gimme your opinions.

Afterbangs are some of the worst skis I've tried, but then again many people like them. I'd say that Line Elizabeths, which are sadly discontinued, are my favourite park skis. I'm eager to try out my Chronics though.

Sparknotes: I sold my shitty pair of skis, I bought a shitty pair of skis, I tried out some sick skis, I want another shitty pair of skis

I just bought some anthems from 2010 and they were dirt cheap, i got them with 2012 z11's for $400 of untracked.com.Theyre super stable on bigger jumps because theyre so wide for a park ski, and theyre still soft enough for butters.

I had lizzies and they were sweet too, just too soft for me

Honestly, this is just my opinion, you dont have to agree, truely they are a more jib and park ski, a little squirly with speed and not forgiving on big booters, but for a all around amazing twin tip, I would take these over plasticy halos or ar7's. For a 350$ price tag, they are pretty hard to beat, I dont know a single pair of skis at the same price point that preforms as well as the afterbangs.

this is what my afterbangers look like now. but that is after a year and a half of skiing really hard on them on a lot of rails and summer setups so its not really anything wrong with the ski

the biggest jump i hit at my mountain is like 40-50 feet, im no pro and i dont even like park that much but on the east coast there isnt much else to do, i really dont do much than 7's

Wow I though this was sarcastic.....Listen Afterbangs do their job and are good for lighter jibbers as a park only ski, but to say by far they are the best you have ever ridden is strange to say the least.

Pros: cheap and soft

Cons: Too soft for heavier riders, slow bases, questionable durability, skis badly outside the park.

You get what you pay for...

I got brand new Alphas for 299....... and I'd take them over afterbangs, actually, there are lots of other skis I'd take over afterbangs.

lol. I saw the thread title and thought "Its probably gonna be a thread about the afterbangs" or some stupid shiit like that. I was not mistaken

Not sure if trolling?

Sure they're fun in the park, and in my opinion ultra forgiving, but when you're just boosting groomers they're so utterly horrifying due to the fact that they have the torsional rigidity of a used condom and when you try to roll them on edge the tip and tail just about stay flat, they're that soft.
