hey guys,
I'm an intermediate skier (i can go down blacks at whistler omg aren't i good? ._. ) and just started again after a 5 year hiatus
i'm looking to buy some cheapish used twintips and don't know the first thing about buying skis. I'm 5'9 so i figure i should get something like a 170? My overall budget for skis, bindings and boots is around 500-600, but i figure since i'm buying them used i'll be able to get something decent
I weigh 165 and will use them primarily for models and back country buy i want to eventually transition to park once I get enough skill/confidence.
Please let me know if there's any info i left out that is relevant, and suggest me some skis!

I would go mid 170s to low 180s if I were you. I'm 6'0", 155 lbs and ski on 181 AR6s and 186 Donner Parties.
You're gonna want something midfat, and possibly with a little bit of rocker. Maybe a pair of Kung Fujas or Moment Ruby, something along those lines.

you're gonna want something in the mid 170s, 180s are too long

i'd recommend the rossignol s3, but that's way out of your budget

maybe last years' blends? i think those would suit you well

I'm from north van, is there a place that I could get any of those skis you suggested for cheeeaaaappppp with bindings?

if you're looking for cheapish twintips that are going to be good all mountain, and work well later in the park, try to get yourself a good pair of Salomon Teneighty.

They're excellent twin tips that have enough versatility to go anywhere. You can get a pair with bindings on ebay for about 150 since they're probably skied out at least 3 years, but don't be afraid of it being out of date. People who have them love them.

other possibilities vary in price : Armada ARV or AR6, salomon Lord, SAlomon Suspect, Volkl Ledge

both of those skis are much more park specific than you want as a "beginning" skier and obviously not a park rat
choose for something a tad fatter (read: blends) and you'll be much more happy in whis

do you have any other suggestions other than the blends, just for the sake of being able to actually find a pair.
thanks alot for the help btw everyone, much appreciated.
