Buying DSLR Refurbished?

hmmm i never thought about this.Do you still get a warranty on it? so you dont buy it then it refuses to work the next day? cause it seems to definately be a good idea.Any cons to it?

bhphoto offers a great deal on these refubished cameras

warranty- 90 limited warrenty covered by Bhphotovideo, for basic malfunctions

i bought a 40D w/ 28-135 3.5- 5.6 on bhphotovideo for $800 only, it was such a deal, and i know that in the canon camera cases it tends to be complete shutter replacement and replacement of anything else that seems to have a problem/scratch, this is a really good deal IMO

keh.com

they're THE source for used camera equipment. I've spent a couple thousand bucks there over the years, and never had a problem.

Digital cameras are the ONLY items on KEH I'd reccomend staying AWAY from the "BGN or Bargain" grade stuff, just cause you never know how the sensor will be until you get it, and if it's dirty as hell, you're effed.

ANYTHING else is fine at bargain grade there, their bargain stuff would be good condition anywhere else. Their "D" grade would be anybody else's "B" grade stuff, in academic lettering terms. I've bought a couple of L series Canon lenses there at bargain quality and they've been just shy of immaculate when I got them.
