Buying cigarettes

So I know this place by my house that sells cigarettes to minors. Atleast that is what I've heard. I was in there a few days ago to buy a pack and he rang it up and asked if I was 18. I said yes (im 16) He then asked for my ID and I said I left it in the car so he didnt sell them to me. There was a lady that had walked up behind me right when he rang them up and I was ready to give my money so I think he didnt sell them to me because she was behind me.

My questions is if I show him my ID and I am under 16 can he take it or will he just say, "You're not old enough, sorry" and give it back?

act like you're new here from Russia, if he looks and says this only says you're 16 say in your most broken english Russian accent...... "im sorry i thought 16 was old enough" or something along those lines....

and an even better idea would be to just not smoke at all?

But to your question, he will look at the ID and look at you like your retarded, and tell you to get the fuck out.
 
I don't think that he can take your id. You would probably need your id to drive back home. The worst that can happen is that he just tell you that he can't sell them to you.

Why would you show him your ID if you're not 18? He's just gonna look at you, call you a shit head and tell you to leave.
 
I probably should have explained this a little bit better. I thought he asked for the ID just to look at it so the woman behind me didn't think he was selling to minors. I give him my ID, he says I'm 18 and he can sell them to me and I buy them and leave. Obviously if I didn't think he would sell to me I wouldn't show him my ID, that would be kind of stupid.
 
you could steal them.... um also if you have a debit/ credit card try buying them with that. he might just think your 18 because of that... thats how i buy R rated movie tickets (im 16)
 
just quit. its a discusting habit that your going to hate in 10 years. Then you wont have to go through the trouble of trying to get cigs when your underage.
 
lol, no i he cant take it away. He would prolly just look at it then laugh at you, you really cant get in trouble for attempting to buy. Try waiting till theres no one there
 
I tried that. I acutally waited at the front counter for about 15 minutes before I finally went up. Right as he was ringing it up some lady walked up behind me. Oh well. I'll just quit.
 
My friend (17) got id'd at the liquor store (18 here). My friend flipped open his wallet and showed him his fake, the guy snatched the wallet out of his hand, took the fake out and told him to never come back again.

That was a fake though.

A lot of places don't even give a fuck, they may ask for ID, but then not look at the date. I've had that happen to me buying cigs for people. (i don't smoke though)

Same thing with bars that serve minors, they just look at the ID and serve you anyways.
 
theres no way thatl happen. the only reason they can take id's away is if its fake. if you show him ur real id and he reads it n it says ur 16, he'l know its not fake and will just tell you that you have to be 18 to buy. if you get caught by police with a fake id cause you bought alcohol or tobacco, you dont get into trouble for buying. you get in trouble for having the fake. the store gets in trouble for selling to minor/under 21 (if they didnt do what they shoulda)
 
maybe he didnt sell to you because you were looking nervous waiting around the store for 15 minutes?
 
Usually I do get someone over 18 to buy them for me but I couldnt today for some reason. I would buy a carton but I'm pretty low on cash with trying to pay for a car, gas and season pass. I've decided to try and quit. I'll see how long I can go now.
 
dont quit! fuck that cigs are the best thing going, just smoke like 3 a day and make a pack last a week. there's no need to smoke more cigarettes than what gives you a nice buzz for a little while.
 
Haha. That's actually the same for me. I usually meet someone when I step outside to smoke a cigarette, its kind of funny how many people I've meet while smoking cigarettes.
 
back when i smoked this always worked for me

if they ask you for ID just say you got a DUI and they took it. 90% of the time they will just give you the pack and let it go, if not its not a big deal, you just dont have a ID
 
who gives a fuck if he wants to mess up his health than let him, but i would stick to the dank
 
if your gonna smoke tobacco at least smoke cigars..... cigs are fuckin gross.... or just stick to the devils lettuce
 
I don't really like cigars. They take too long to smoke and you don't get much nicotine from them because you aren't supposed to inhale. I already smoke quite a bit of bud so it's not like I'm leaving one for the other.
 
stick to the occasional cigar or hookah but tobacco will fuck ur health. try a local hookah bar tho b/c they might sell to a minor, or at least the one i go to does. although im 18 so it doesnt matter
 
yea dude, fuck cigs quit while the addiction isnt strong in you. its just gonna get worse and worse which makes it harder and harder to quit
