I have had some problems with the member, and I dont want any other NSer's to get ripped off. He constatly lies, cant keep his own stories straight, and stalls to avoid answers.

About a year back, i was selling some scratch pros. I had them boxed, ready to ship, and he said he was having problems with sending the money, and too see if I would ship the skis out prior to recieving payment. I refused, and contact stopped.

Back to the present.

July 3rd

On July 3rd, I put a sale up with some movies.

July 5th

On July 5th, "Dave" sent me a message wanting 2 movies. We agreed on the price, and exchanged information. "Dave" informed me he was going to send me a money order. I agreed.

July 8th

On July 8th, I asked if he had sent the money order yet? I was informed, "yes i just got back from putting in the mail box"

I ask him if he has an idea as to how long it will take for the money order to reach Canada. He guesses about a week, then asks, "did i need special postage at all becasue you need it to get stickers on ns"

I tell him I dont know what the postage is for a letter to get from the US to Canada.

July 10th

He sends me a PM telling me, "i think i messed up on the postage"

I ask him what he plans on doing about it?

He said once he gets it back, he will resend it.

July 12th

He informs me he hasnt recieved it back. Now he wants to know if I have any posters for sale.

July 14th

I ask him he he has gotten the money order back yet. I suggest he sends another one out in the mean time, and just cashes back the original when he recieves it back.

I remind him not to forget the postage.

He replies with, "i wont like what postage will i need if yuo don't now i will ask the post office."- In my opinion, this is sounding shady alrady. He shoudl be asking the post office, not me.

July 20th

*no conversation between the 14th until now.

I ask him whats going on with the money order. No reply.

I ask again.

He claims he just put it in the mail. He tells me if i dont get this one, he will send cash. (Im nott comfortable with cash-gets lost/stolen easliy)

I ask him if he remembered to put on the proper postage?

He says, "uhhhh i dont remember". He then asks me, "i going to smoke weed brb you smoke"

I inform him I dont smoke.

July 27th

He asks me If i recieved the money order yet.

I tell him no.

He tells me he will pay me 5$ extra for waiting so long. Im thinking, how is he going to pay extra, has ne not sent the money?

I tell him to give it a few more days.

He seems to be getting frantic, always telling me how hes going to pay me because hes "not cheap like that"

I ask if he remembered the proper postage.

He says, "I dont remember"

July 28th

I inform him I havent recieved payment.

he replies, "no what dude going to the post offiuce and getting it right now"

^Getting what? The money order? I ask for clairification, but no reply.

July 29th

He asks me how my summer is, and what elevation I live at. Between more random questions, he throws in, "ooo ok so wait till wednesday and if you dont get it are u still going to ship it and i u still get ur money and i pay u like 30 in stead of 25"

so now hes asking me to ship without recieving payment!

July 30th

I PM him saying no way, im not shipping without a payment.

He begins to ask me what happens if a seller is ripped off, and what happens to the buyer in this situation. He is obviously trying to find out the consequences of what he is doing.

August 5th

He asks if I had recieved the money order. I hadn't.

He then tells me, "ok going to post office pronto". Im wondering why he is going to the post office? He has already sent the money order, right?

August 8th

I accuse him of not sending the money order. He tells me he did.

I then ask, "Then, can you provide me with some form of proof of purchase?"

He replies "yes sure hold on i need to find it".

August 9th

No reply, I ask again, "Can I see some proof of purchase, or get the phone number to the post office where you bought the money order?"

He says, "yea umm let find the receipt"

I said, werent you going to get the recipt the other night? He tells me that "i was busy doing other stuff"

August 10th

No im getting angry. I tell him, "You're stalling. I want to see some proof of purchase. If I dont, I will be forced to believe you tried to rip me off, and a buyer beware thread will go up with your name in it."

He replies on August 12th, saying, "yo dude chill i am in portugal till the 26 for a microsoft thing i was way busy pack and getting ready i am in the inner circle if u want to search google about it WHEN I COME BACK THE 26 I WILL PROVE I WAS THERE AND THE RECEIPT OF THE MONEY ORDER OK"

How convienient he's in portugal. Nothing like this was mentioned to me before. He refused to do an electronic transfer-that way, he couldnt try to rip me off. He would have actually had to sent money.

Anyways, I just want others to know that this member isnt someone you want to be dealing with. This may not be the most polite thing to do, but I want others to know about it.

If anyone (mods, admins, members) need proof, or want to see my PM's with lineskier21, I would be more than happy to send them to you.

 
WHO FUCKING CARES, you didn't send him anything so it's no lose. sell them to someone else, if a money order shows up just send it back.

that's just part of selling something on ns, if someones says they are going to buy something that doesn't necessarily mean they are obligated (it'd be nice if it did, but it doesn't). if they don't send any money then you don't have to send them the item!

i've had many people tell me they are going to buy things from me and never send anything.

 
i think this is more than just the fact that he didnt pay for it. this guy was trying to get the shit off of him without paying. he was actually attempting to scam him. thats a little more.
 
I FUCKING CARE, moron. It's one thing to say you will buy something, then a day later to say "sorry for the inconvienence dude, but i dont have the funds, sell it to someone else, sorry about the delay" and then its something other what this fucking tard did. That's bullshit dude.. you dont play someone for a month about that, now the seller is out that time on selling the product to someone else.

I've tried to sell shit on here and i fucking hate it when someone says they want something, and make up a story for 2 weeks about payment. I sell something for the same reason other people do, it get money for what ever i need it for, clothes, skis, what ever. And thats 2 weeks, or more on wasted time, and it blows.

Maybe you dont give a flying fuck about this, if so dont waste time reading the story, or even more time explaining yourself because all the rest of us that DO sell stuff and buy stuff on here dont want to waste our time with bullshit members.
 
i care as well. your a dumbass. the guy was just trying to imform people that lineskier might not be a truthful buyer. he wasn't saying not to buy from him he was just warning people. and your a dumbass that would send a product to him w/o receiving payment. chill out
 
doesn't seem like you understood my post after the who fucking cares part. this happens a lot, i've experienced it myself plenty of times. kids say they will buy things, never send anything, lie about it because they are trying to get the money whatever...

all i'm sayin' is that theres bigger fish to fry than a person who backs out of a purchase even if he beats around it for awhile. imagine if everyone who's had this happen made a thread about it... instead just reference it in the good buyer/seller thread.

 
i would have just turned around a sold it to someone else when he got all sketchy with his payments. it would have saved you alot of time in the end and who cares if the guy doesnt like you after, it's not like you actually know him.

It matters alot because next thing you know this kid could be selling something and not ship after recieving payment but if your ok with that your a dumb shit.
 
I understand what you're saying, but, I dont want any other people to have the same problem with this member.

More on subject to the thread: It seems like you waited an fuckin' long time before you made your decision, which seems legit to me. Thanks for the warning.
 
since you can change your username yourself it will be harder to keep a list of the people you cant trust...
 
Rowen's got a good idea. We should put feedback in the member profiles, kind of like ebay. We wont get rid of NSTOR or the sellers list, just add that in.
 
poeple really need to follow through when they say there are going to. I've made plenty of money order sales that have gone just fine!
 
yeah, the NSTOR list is crazy long now too. Well lyndon i guess you got to live and learn. He is just trying to protect the people on NS from not getting fucked over. You don't want threads about you being a bad seller on NS, just don't be a dogfucker. Simple as that. Sorry if your going to lie, and fuck about then you can suffer all the bad shit.
