Buy short skis if they are cheap?

Sup NS, so i found a pair of reckoner 102 at the local MSO for $400 with a little discount on there. Only problem is they are a 170cm. I am 6’0 150lbs, should i pull the trigger on these cause its a killer deal or would they be too short to have fun on? I got an old ass pair of amp rictor’s in a 170 that i cruise around on now so i just want any sort of upgrade from those dog turds. Thanks fellas

You can find popular brands like k2's in the springtime everywhere for that price, no need to sacrifice the size you want. Google is your friend.

Way too small for you. Should be able to find your proper size for $400 though?

Hell no! It's a decision you'd regret after 5 seconds in on your first lap on them.

...and the wReckoners are called the way they are for very good reasons. Please stay away from them. They'll explode in a few days.

Revolt 104 is probably a better ski overall. I have a pair of reckoner 102 and they are a very fun ski but they are not very durable. I bet if you wait a couple weeks the reckoners will be sub $400 USD on Corbetts.com...$420 rn...https://www.corbetts.com/2023-k2-reckoner-102-skis/

Prices are in CAD.

184 is your size.

Never ridden the reckoners but I've gotten the impression from friends and people on this site with experience on them that they kinda suck in terms of durability and how they ride.

It's a fun but a little weird ski. Soft on the tips & tails and VERY stiff underfoot. Like 5-10-6 ish pattern. Amazingly light for it's size too. And the brittlest ski ever.

What skis are durable tho? The revolts seems sturdy as hell just not as much flex as the reckoners which seems like it makes the reckoners fun. Thanks for the size tip, ill check out corbetts too ive only really looked at bobleisure

Wets are really durable for how light they are but might be hard to find at this point in the season. Poachers are durable as hell but not a ton of flex.

Völkl Revolt series offers good bang for the buck IMHO. Not getting you as much underground hero points as joining the V gang but they can also be bought off the shelf all year round.

Actually just looked on vishnu’s site and they still got a pair of wide plus 183 for $490. Just not sure about the flex pattern on the plus.

Wide plus is the only V ski I'd think of comparing to the wreck's by the specs. If the length suits, I might give them a go.

Ya looks like they got pretty much the same flex pattern as the wrecks.
