i know this kid who cut his shin open so bad he had to get staples and all that shit the funny thing is he was going of a curb
 
dude fucked up shit goes down off curbs...

1.I broke my manitou sherman slider (which had previously withstood 10ft plus drops)..It fuckin exploded the seals and launched suspension fluid everywhere

2. I broke my frame (Giant AC1) right on a weld on the chainstay

never underestimate the dangers of the common curb
 
ahh ive fucked up my shins by slipping a pdal soo many times. adn usually when i slip a pedal, i slide back adn nut myself too :(
 
the worst is medal petals... fuck just thinkign about getting major shinners with those just gives me a cringe.. it sucks pretty bad... and they can hack you up pretty good i dunno if you have metal petals.. i'm assuming you do as your shins got hacked up pretty good... the worst i think is having plasic pedals tho then going to edal and just having them fucking snap... i think a good thing to invest in is like a bumch od sylicone and yah make sure you cant get haked up if you get a shiner
 
i got 2 one and a half inch deep gouges on my legs from my leg slipping off my pedals doin a 180, the next day i found chunks of skin on my pedals
 
i do that shit all the time with my new pedels....the studs are insane sharp if you slip off the pedel
 
i use my soccer pads too when i know im going to be jumping or w/e

Ya man, when I was learning fufanu-crankflips on my BMX bike, I fucked up my legs so hard. I had the perfect outline of a pedal and the little traction spikes in both shins.
