Recently, last 6 months or so noticed that more people are trying to make a buck on here. What happened to the time when people used to give actual good deals and help a guy out. Side note: nobody’s going to buy your pivots used 64 times for 5$ off retail.

People who want used skis/bindings for 800$ when you can get them in the spring way cheaper and new.

yeah i think some people selling are under the delusion that buyers come to the BST thread like an antique shop
 
These people are playing the long game trying to take selling stuff seriously. They don’t want it gone ASAP.

They got a ton of useless shit ie inventory and eventually a sucker will bite on something. The less they sell the more they have.
 
Couldn’t agree more. I get it sucks having your gear be worth a lot less the retail, and barely used, but if your trying to sell it on NS, you should be trying to help a homie out, and not trying to make a buck

Fischer Big Stix 120's with Tyrolia Adrenalin 16 AT binding. 185 cm. Decent touring set up for someone who skis the majority on a resort, or someone getting their feet wet with an AT set up. $100. Local pick up only. These are listed on local classifieds for $225 so may get sold in the coming couple of days.

Considering you can pick up a brand new pair of pivot 14's for like $300 shipped to your door and kids are trying to sell used ones for that price makes it a no brainer buy new ones. Now if this was 2008 again pivots and fks' were pretty much gold and you couldn't list a pair and them not sell within hours I could see the prices being fair.
 
it just seems like it used to be a place to help a fellow broke skier out and now it just seems people are being pretty selfish in the threads and rather than just putting something up for a good price to pass on because you dont want it anymore, if you wanna not lose any money on it, put them on ebay, dont even bother tossing it here

I've seen alot of kids putting skis they won on here recently and trying to get MSRP from them too.

If people want to rip off someone else, do it on eBay with those rich dads that think $50 off skis is the deal of the century.
 
Perfect condition skis only skied 3 days!!! Some minor top sheet chipping but it’s not a big deal. Only mounted 14 times! I’m only asking $750 dollars for them so they’ll go quick. Get em while you can!!!

if you want the homie price, build a rep on TGR

NS will always be top dollar, and NS was never the place for a hookup unless you knew the seller personally.

Like the deal you got on those Hellbents on eBay then doubled the price to sell them on here?
 
I bought some sweet full tilts on here for 100$. There are good deals on this site but ya gotta be fast and they are hard to find. Also sell ur pivots for like 150 not 300 I can find 180$ pivot 14s in the offseason on ebay

I got two pairs of 26.5 boots, kryptons (basically brand new) and GPXs (brand new liner) listed for 175 and 150, but will sell either for 100 to only the homies in this thread

Tbf people selling the OG orange / green fks / pivots...I can kinda see why prices are high as they look sick and aren’t getting re-released anytime soon

selling the standard black / white / forzas for > rrp is dumb

Yeah besides being all metal like the 18s I don’t get the point. All metals 16s would make sense. At like $350.

I don't really need an 18din binding, and if I want to do cast, I would for sure buy the 15. Also why the fuck are they the same price? Fuck out of here Look.
 
I honestly think part of the issue is people are now coming to the forums to like it says "Buy/Sell" therefor they feel they should be getting similar to retail price. Ill be the first to admit that I have never thought of the forum as a place to help someone else out, but to sell anything I need to in order to make my money back. I wonder if anything would change if it was marketed as "Help a homie out" or even titled that rather than "Buy/Sell"

Nothing like paying top dollar for 10 year old beat to shit bindings because the color is cool. If you are dumb enough to do that then you've got a long road ahead of you in life.
