Buttering on skis that arent center mounted

i just got the k2 silencers and like the dumbasses they are REI mounted my skis at the traditional position specifically after i asked them to center mount them. Will having the skis mounted in the traditional spot affect the difficulty of buttering

slightly, but its still very doable

it will make it easier to do tail butters though

i just got my skis mounted 21mm forward of center, and nose butters seem harder, but tails seem about the same as before. (they were 2 cm back before)

i was thinking a short guy on say 181s would find it hard to initiate the butter due to the stiffness all the way until the nose, whereas on a shorter ski, it would be easier to get weight over the nose

Don't shop at rei if you can help it. A lot of the staff is clueless there in my experience. They also did the same thing to my pe's. I told them to mount them core center, they asked my what was that, so I told them, 7.5 forward I think. I get them back and they're at the mid sole mounting point.

you will be able to tail butter like a motherfucker and probably reverse the direction of your knee trying to nose butter

i'm rocking k2 fujatives at the traditional spot...they're not bad....i can barely tell a difference between that and center...shouldn't be a problem
