Butter

I am looking for a buttery ski at 160-165 for my next ski.

Is the Armada ARV 96 or 86 Good for butters?

Also, is the 2019 Chronic good for it?

I probably wouldn't get EDollo cause they are heavy but dog?

I haven’t ridden the arv’s but I know that they need to be worn in before and then they become a little more playful. It also depends on your weight, like if your scrawny then it’s gonna be noticeably harder to butter. The chronics are more of an all mountain shape this year but are a lot softer, still haven’t ridden them but I’ve seen. I acc was looking into the bdog also and I couldn’t find where the weights were so I ended up emailing them and they said the 172 was 1880g which imo is crazy for a 172. I loved the flex pattern but they were way to heavy for me. Check out the magnus 90 in a 171 (ski short bc of rocker), tbh any line park ski bc they cant make a stiff ski, nomad 95 in a 161 or 171 they still ski short-ish (there’s a banger deal on amazon for the 171 rn).

Thanks. I am 5 3 100 lbs but still growing, but this would be for next season or the one after if my tw short'ys dont break. I am looking for a light ski cause i am on the skinny side. I was riding my friends 18 tw's 164 cm and i can barley butter them.

My brother has the Bdog 179 and he does well spinning fast like 4's out but still butters good. He can also hit big jumps without worrying about no stability. But i think they might be too heavy for me.

Yeah, all skis come down to preference, it might feel light for one dude but not the other, it might feed soft for one dude but not the other. Your best bet is prob trying to find a shop with your different options around your and go in a just feel the ski yk, flex it and hold it and just see how it sorta feels.

Arv 96s are (or at least they used to be) more heavy than edollos and edollos are softer. Bdogs are also a good choice. Chronic aren't that playfull for a small dude like you. Other good options are line honeybadger and faction prodigy 2.0.

Fo sho.

My friend has edollos in 163 and they felt pretty heavy. Mabye i just have to get used to longer, heavier skis. My 149 tw shortys are 900 grams each, after all.

They can first feel heavy but any durable adult ski is heavy compared to some kids skis

If you want a light and butter ADULT ski then go with the honey badger, only down side is the topsheet durability. If you want light in general than check out the liberty transfer, they are stiff and charge hard

Honey Badgers are the closest midgets can get to Wets so I’d go that route. Plus they’re cheap.

Yeah. The only thing i worry about in line skis is durability. My tw shortys have 5 edge cracks and a big delam, i know someone whose blends had 7 edge cracks, and one person had tw pros that delams on all four tips. He had to tape them up cause they were so bad.Honey badgers might be a good choice though.

I skied honeybadgers for a one season and had zero edge cracks

Chronics are very playful and will be for him if he buys the right size , but it sounds like he would like blends

My ARVs have alot of pop but when it comes to butters they're not very good, I recommend this new company called V I S H N U
