The most impressive thing is the fact he made the decision to fuck it and huck it then and there. Skiing can be a science but it's also an art, and spontaneous moments of genius like that is what keeps the sport on its toes. Henrik just proved that skill is more than practicing, practicing practicing. It's about progressing at key times and taking risks and having a huge fucking grin on your face while you're doing it. Gus was stressing, Bobby was calculating every turn, and Henrik was having an absolute blast hucking tricks he likes. That's why he won.
 
Bro all of us at the bottom were fucking freeeeaking out, i was in the support section at the bottom with JF, Iberg and others it was fucking mind boggling, no one even expected it

Literally the greatest night of my life. Saw a nose butter triple in person by the best skier on the planet, then met Hornbeck and talked to Tanner, who basically is the entire reason I'm so into skiing. Fuckin' INSPIYAAAD
 
Can't tell if trolling or serious. Either way Shaun White is a bitch. Henrik landed the most technically difficult trick I've ever seen in any extreme sport... first try nonetheless.
 
I'm no Tom fanboy, but:

1 year = 52 weeks

We're also not talking 2013. IE... the 2013 X games are well beyond the scope of the 2012 "Skier of the Year" award

He won slope last year at aspen, so that's nothing to scoff at. I know he didn't qualify this year, but maybe that will make room for younger guys

What's done is done, and 2013 is certainly not Tom's year so far.

Bottom line: Tom crushed 2012, and henrik is doing awesome so far in 2013, but they're two very different years. Take one year at a time, huh?

 
This. Tom earned this past year's award, and Henrik right now is definately at the forefront right now for next year's competitors.

Exactly, he was feeling the stoke from everyone sending it. I'm thinking he did that nose butter trip for himself and not the 50..
 
Was too damn faded to truly appreciate this last night.

Smiling through the whole inrun, sending his first trip while he's getting top of the podium anyway.

Truly skiing's god-sent savior. He even looks like Jesus.
 
I remember when nose butter dub was fucking insane, skiing is so fucking crazy now, its like skateboarding in terms of technicality and style.
