you want a ski with no metal edges?

actually there was an urban snowboard released a few years ago that had no metal edges and shitty construction. it was relatively inexpensive but people didnt buy it. most people just have an old pair of skis that they can destroy.

maybe your not old enough to remember but look up rossi pow air grinds its exactly what your talking about...

needless to say they didn't make it in the market place.....

 
i know about the pow airs but i was thinkin more like the forum snowboard no edges and cheap i think it sold for 150$

 
Just use your old skis and detune or if you really want strip the ede off

well seeing as this kid was hoping dynastar would make a rail ski without edges it seems to be right up their alley....seeing as all the fuckin ither skis they make have the edges just rip out....but yea funny none the less

we destroyed my friends 1080s and pulled the edges off, ptexed the side walls and grind the shit out of things with em. suck on the mt but its cool to slide stuff with

haha this is funny. what happens if ur goin to fast at the rail? might be a bit hard to carve or even make a simple pizza if u didnt have any edges, and also, if u grind without metal edges ur "ski material" edges wud get all fucked up... then you'd be sad.

thats not gonna happen, you can ski on a ski without edges, just not well. the metal edges are just a stronger and sharper version of what would happen if you had no edges. you could speed check fine, and its not like having too much speed is a common problem with urbans anyway. and if you didn't care about having edges anyway, why would you care about your "non-metal" edges getting fucked up?

they're factory rounded underfoot, but really no more than you should do yourself the moment you get a pair of skis

invaders are pretty good for butters. dont take my word for it tho i only rode a whole year on them

Ceramics are the future. Lower sliding friction than perfectly waxed ptex, higher abrasion resistance. You can also make ceramics that are far far far more durable and sharp than any metal could ever think of being (wow metal edges arent neccesary).

 
the t-halls probably just have detuned edges.

i would hope they are not actually ROUND.

i think you would be better having a totally rounded edge than having no edge that way the edge keeps its shape and doesn't easily get chunks ripped out of the ski. But what do I know, I'm only a ski manufacturer for Armada.
