Butter Cork 3s??

has anyone done these before, i was trying but for me to do cork 3s i need to carve alot and with the butter i never have enough time to properly prepare, hopfully il get them down next weekend but has anyone seen or herd of anyone doing them?

most of the times I've seen people do butters they haven't gotten nearly enough air to do a corked 3, it would be sweet if you could pull it off though.

seems like butter kills to much speed and would set you off balance. adn w/ a cork 3 it would look weird if half the rotation has already been done.

i tried swithc tail butter to cork 5s once, but couldnt get them too good cuz your speed is sooooo inconsistent. i wanna see nose butters to switch tricks

ya that wasnt butter - that was a revert 180. butters are when your spinning on the last 4 feet of takeoff and continue spinning in the air

i've failed to see anyone do an 'actual' butter. Even the pros i've seen do them like a 180 except on rails. It's almost impossible to do on a big jump becasue you can fuck up ur speed. Look at Oksanen he doesn't slide off the jump he basically does a 180 right before the jump it's just soething fun to do an it kinda sets the rotation for you.

rory makes that look so smooth. it looked like he really had to work it to bring it around but it was so buttery smooth. seems like you could easily carve too much on the takeoff and get way off balance. looks super difficult.

Dave Crichton does something of a butter 540 in Volume 8, I have tried them, never on a jump but to the side of the lip. But like someone said, it is hard to keep the speed consistent, so I can only do it to a three

At the NYS xgames at swain dynarider (aka Ahmet) did a switch tail butter 5 but the judges didn't know what butter was and thought he just reverted so he got shit for points

he still made out with 3rd place with a cork 9

hallbens - that wasnt butter. that was just a revert. You can tell in tha movie of silva that he is spining going off the lip - that video you posted, he spun 5 feet before the lip, then setup and juped on the rail. a butter is one whole smooth motion spining and going off the lip at the same time. with reverts there is a pause between the spin and the takeoff.

afterbang is definately THE PLACE for butters. those boarders rip butter styles... but its a lot easier for them because they can throw pivots down too... so like they can do a 180 switch tailpress and keep the rotation to 270 all the while a foot before the lip... us skiers have it hard because our tailpresses are frickin hard.

true mt_bakerrules but easley's is more of a true butter, he's totally up on the tails of his skis, whereas Silva's, although really dope, seems more like he slides off than really pops off his tips.
