Hahaha the Chainsmokers are actually pretty chill, listen to some of their other stuff. This song is mocking the heartless bro-step drops that contribute to 95% of popular electronic and dance music nowadays. That mixed with the concept of selfies makes for an overdone satire. The song is supposed to be annoying as fuck, that's the point. I'm surprised they had the balls to do this because a large portion of their fan base and people getting into their music probably won't get it and hate it.
